Nike realising that the primary drivers of sneaker culture shifting from the athletes to musicians and hip-hop icons, signed Travis Scott (born Jacques Webster), one of the most imminent and successful American rapper, back in 2017.
Since then the two collaborated to create prominent models such as Air Jordan 1 Retro, Jordan Jumpan Jack, Nike Air Max. These distinct looking sneakers designed by the self-proclaimed sneakerhead Travis Scott are primarily lifestyle, standard streetwear sneakers intended for everyday wear and style.
After their roaring success for nearly a decade, Nike and Travis Scott decided to enlarge their horizons and venture into sports and with this idea, they launched Cactus Jack All Leagues collection, collaborating with fanatics to curate official streetwear for the MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL.
Cactus Jack is Travis Scott’s lifestyle and creative brand, born out of his record label of the same name and extended into fashion, merchandise, and high-profile collaborations across sneakers, apparel, and even fast food.
But it was with Nike x Cactus Jack Phantom 6 collection, they entered on-pitch professional sports and the FIFA World Cup happening in the USA, gave them the perfect platform for it.
Scott is a huge football fan himself and his growing presence around the game has been hard to ignore.
The Cactus Jack logo appeared on Barcelona jersey during the 2025 El Classico, but it was more down to their partnership with Spotifty and was a one off event.

But time and again, he teased fans with proper on pitch moment and the buzz hit the roof when he stepped out in a pair of never-before-seen Phantom 6 Indoor boots signed by the likes of Ronaldo in Miami last December at a Nike event.
After long speculation, Travis Scott’s new Nike collection for professional sport, Nike Phantom 6 x Cactus Jack have just officially dropped on 29th June.
The first official Travis Scott collaboration on a boot designed for use on the pitch has earth-toned Cactus Jack colorways and of course the reverse Swoosh , which is a signature of his throughout all of his collaborations with Nike.

The upper arrives in a bold green and brown combo, with the brighter green taking over the lower section, while a rich brown wraps around the collar for contrast.
Gold accents hit the Swoosh and laces, and round the heel, there is a textured, almost reptilian finish that calls back to the Kobe “Black Mamba” Phantom from late 2025.
The ‘Cactus Jack’ wordmark sits proudly on the medial side, while the signature stitched face logo lands on the heel.

Though, it has officially just been released, the sightings of it were already there throughout the world cup and time leading up to it, thanks to Nike’s one of the most popular faces of World football, Erling Haaland.
The Norway no.9 was spotted lacing up a pair in the Norway training camp prior to the World Cup and was on show again during Norway’s last group stage match of the World Cup against France.

However, as Haaland did not play the match, the Nike Phantom 6 x Cactus Jack’s debut in a professional match still awaits.
