FC 27 Gameplay Leak Teases Cocky New Floor Header Move

With football being by far the most popular sport in the world, it is not surprising to see why a football-related video game is one of the highest-grossing games in the world.

EA Sports’ flagship franchise, FC (known formerly as FIFA) has pretty much been ruling the sports video game niche for several decades now. Their latest title, FC 26, sold over 12 million copies globally.

The franchise’s next release, FC 27, is set to launch in late September, and fans are naturally extremely excited about the new features present in the game. Through official announcements from EA themselves or leaks, new information about the game has been revealed over the past few weeks.

As of now, some of the key confirmed information is that Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham are set to be the cover stars, and that the title will be available on all the major current-gen game consoles, such as PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Also, for the first time ever, an FC/FIFA game has earned an age-rating of PEGI 16, ending the franchise’s long-standing PEGI 3 grading.

A new gameplay-related change was also reported on Friday By FIFA insider account Fut Sheriff.

According to new in-game footage, it appears the “floor header” has been added to the list of available skill moves. You can see Juventus forward Francisco Conceicao doing the same in the image leaked by Fut Sheriff below.

While the button combination required to execute this move has not yet been revealed, it is confirmed that this skill will be possible in all of the most popular game modes, such as kick-off, Pro Clubs and Ultimate Team.

For a game such as FC, which has earned a reputation for being the perfect game to enjoy with friends both co-op and online, this skill move presents plenty of hilarious opportunities for trolling the opposing player, as the “floor header” is seen as one of the most cocky and exaggerated showboating gestures in all of football.

With one of the most anticipated video games of all time, Grand Theft Auto 6, also set to release later this year, EA Sports will know they will have to bring their A-game with FC 27, in order to maintain a strong player-base year-round.

By making such additions to the game, it looks like they are committed to giving players plenty of ways to have as much fun on the virtual football pitch as possible, and create memorable gaming memories in the process.
