The annual cycle of anticipation, speculation, and fierce debate has begun. With the release of EA Sports FC 26 a month away, the gaming and football community are ready to make their opinions known about the ratings of players and whether they are over/underrated. Just like in past years, leakers have once again beaten EA to the punch, revealing a large number of EA Sports FC 26 player ratings before the official announcement. These leaks are as usual unverified so please take them with a pinch of salt.

Mohamed Salah is the joint top rated Card at 91 alongside Rodri and Mbappe. The Egyptian had one of his best seasons under new manager Arne Slot last year. He scored 29 goals and provided 18 assists in 38 appearances, this incredible tally of 47 goal contributions was not just a career-best for him, but it also equaled the all-time Premier League record for a single season. He was the key man in their Premier League triumph last season. He won an unprecedented clean sweep of the major Premier League awards, becoming the first player in history to win the Premier League Player of the Season, the Golden Boot, and the Playmaker of the Season in the same campaign.
Salah has got a increase of +1 to his shooting, +4 to his passing +2 to his dribbling and +1 to his stats compared to last years card. Like last year he is set to have the same 4 star skill moves and 3 star weak foot.

Kylian Mbappe, the last year’s Golden Boot winner has also got a 91 rating. After years of speculation, Mbappé’s arrival in Madrid was one of the most significant transfers in recent football history. He scored 31 goals in 34 league appearances, a performance that earned him the prestigious Pichichi Trophy. His goalscoring exploits weren’t limited to the domestic league. In all competitions, he found the net 44 times for Real Madrid, a staggering return that included goals in seven different competitions. Despite a very underwhelming season for the Los Blancos, Kylian was a great transfer and will bring trophies to the Spanish capital. His 97 pace and 90 shooting are lethal and could be one of the best base stats for a gold card.
Kylian’s card is pretty much the same as last year with the only changes being +1 to his passing, +1 to his defending and -2 to his physicality. He also keeps the same 4 star weak foot and 5 star skill moves as last year.

DEMBELÉ OFFICIAL CARD 🔥🔥🔥🔥 HE IS NOW ST👀🔥 pic.twitter.com/1yZr4YBIkI
Speaking of the Ballon d’Or, Ousmane Dembele is the favourite to win it this year. The 90 rated man had his most successful year, the potential was there to see ever since his time at Dortmund. Injuries have plagued his career and hampered his development. After Kylian Mbappe’s departure to Real Madrid he has taken up the mantle and has become a force to be reckoned with under Luis Enrique. Big performances in key Champions league matches have shown his talent. He would muster up a combined 48 goal contributions in 53 appearances across all competitions, with 33 goals and 15 assists. Dembele was often playing as striker which has caused his position to change from LW to Striker in FC 26. He is looking like the Meta player this year as the game rewards pace and dribbling. Not to mention he has a 5 star weak foot as well as 5 star skill moves. What is even scary is his 88 shooting an increase of 11 compared to last year.
Ousmane has seen his pace drop by -1, shooting increase by +11, +1 to his passing, +5 to his dribbling +9 to his defence and a whopping +12 increase to his Physicality. He keeps his same 5 star skills and 5 star weak foot.

Erling Haaland has received a downgrade to 90 rating this season. One may say that his rating should have been lower, given the season Manchester City had last year. Manchester City had a season of mixed results. While they were unable to secure their fifth consecutive Premier League title, they finished a respectable third. Their campaign included a victory in the FA Community Shield, but they fell short in other competitions, finishing as runners-up in the FA Cup and being eliminated in the early stages of both the UEFA Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup. Haaland also missed parts of the season through injury and was unable to have as much of an impact that he had in previous seasons.
Erling has seen a decreased in all his main stats pace has dropped by -2, decrease in shooting by -1, -1 to his dribbling. He also keeps his 3 star weak foot and skill moves as last year.

Vinicius, the man who was in contention for the 2024 Ballon d’Or and was the favourite according to some ultimately finishing second to Rodri has seen a downgrade to 89 rating this season. It’s been reported that missing out on the 2024 Ballon d’Or had a significant psychological effect on him, contributing to his drop in form and general attitude. After an initial adaptation period, the highest rated player in FC 26 and Golden Boot winner Kylian Mbappé’s form picked up after a slow start, which coincided with a noticeable dip in Vinicius’s performance. This created a situation where the two players’ styles clashed, preventing Vinicius from reaching his full potential.
Vini has the same base stats as last year and the same 5 star skills move and 4 star weak foot.

RAPHINHA IS 89 RATED ON FC 26!🔥🔥🔥🔥 pic.twitter.com/K6ngfZRvvY
Raphinha, one of the stand out performers last season has received a massive increase of 5 in his ratings, putting him at 89. He was indeed Barcelona’s gem winning La Liga player of the season last year. He would also lift the La Liga trophy thanks to his contributions racking up 18 goals and 11 assists in 36 matches. Raphinha also had a sensational Champions League campaign. He was a crucial player in Barcelona’s run, scoring 13 goals and providing 4 assists in 14 appearances. He finished as the competition’s top scorer. Raphinha took on a leadership role within the team as he would bear the skipper’s armband. He was also becoming a go-to player in clutch moments and delivering in key matches. His hat-trick against Bayern Munich in the Champions League and two-goal performance against Real Madrid in the league were key performances that defined his season. While we do not have his stats for his card we can expect him to have great shooting and dribbling stats.
His shooting has increased by +5, passing by +7, dribbling by +1, physicality by +2. He keeps his same 4 star skills move and 4 star weak foot as last year.

LAMINE YAMAL +8 UPGRADE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 pic.twitter.com/052oQmNMox
Spanish and Barcelona wonder boy Lamine Yamal really took off under Hansi Flick last season and has earned himself a 89 rated card. The left footed right winger delivered us some of the best moments last season, his goal against Inter where he skipped past Mkhitaryan and smashed it off the post leaving Yann Sommer stunned was sensational. His trickery and dribbling gave flashes of Neymar at Barcelona one of Yamal’s idols. He has justifiably been rated 89 which is a increase by 8 over his last years card. His dribbling and passing stats look great and he could be yet another meta player depending on his playstyles.
He has seen big increases in his stats, +3 to his pace, +6 to his shooting, +10 to his passing, +8 to his dribbling and +5 to his physicality. Lamine has also gotten 5 star skills an increase of 1 as compared to last year and his weak foot remains the same at 3.

OLISE OFFICIAL CARD 🔥🔥🔥🔥 pic.twitter.com/KJGmTUnapU
One of the more controversial ratings has come in as Michael Olise has only gotten a 86 rating. In his debut season the Frenchman had garnered 20 goals and 23 assist in just 55 appearances. He was voted the club’s Player of the Season for 2024-25 by the fans, receiving almost half of all votes (44.8%), beating out players like Thomas Müller and Harry Kane. He was arguably one of the best wingers in the world alongside Dembele, Lamine and Salah. A deserved rating should have been at least 87-88 for him. His pace of 78 and 80 shooting don’t do justice to the season he had for Bayern Last year.
Olise has seen a decrease in his pace by -2 and his defence by -3. His shooting has increased by +3, +2 to his passing, +3 to his dribbling and +10 to his physicality. He keeps the same 4 star skill moves and 2 star weak foot as last year.
+9 Upgrade & 90 Dribbling 😳

🥶🥶🥶 pic.twitter.com/NOAWsS09Ff
The prince of Paris and another golden boy, Desire Doue had one of the best debut seasons and earned himself a 85 rated card. On the pitch, his style of play is a joy to watch. He was one of PSG’s key players in their route to winning their first ever Champions League. He was named the Young Player of the Season for the Champions League for a reason, showing an incredible composure that was far beyond his years. In the final he would earn man of the match scoring two goals and setting up another at just 19 years old. He has been given a 85 rating alongside 90 dribbling putting him on par with Lamine. Apart from his dribbling the card overall looks weak due to the pace and shooting stats.
Doue has seen an increase in all of his base stats: pace +5, shooting+11, passing +5, +9 dribbling, +3 defence, +10 physicality. He is set to have a +1 increase to his skills move to 5 star and +1 increase to his weak foot to 4 star.

It has happened. Cristiano Ronaldo is no longer a Walkout on FC 26 with a 85 rated card. He has always been in the high 90s alongside Lionel Messi who is rated at 86, it is a testament to the longevity that these two have had. In their prime we used to have 94-95 ratings for them which is ridiculous to think about.

While both players are in the twilight of their careers and no longer at the very top of the game, their performance in their respective leagues the MLS and the Saudi Pro League is a point of contention for some.
Messi has seen a decrease in his pace by -1, -2 to his passing and -2 to his dribbling. He keeps the same 4 star weak foot and 4 star skill moves.
Ronaldo has seen a decrease of -2 to his pace, -1 to his passing and -1 to his physicality. He keeps the same 5 star weak foot and 4 star skill moves.

VAN DE VEN HAS 90 PACE ☠️ pic.twitter.com/SqzZz2JuDq
Micky Van De Ven will be the Meta card for defenders even with a rating of 82. He is set to have 90 pace making him a gem in the earlier stages of FC 26. You can expect him to cost 150-200K at least. His assist against Manchester United highlights his ability to drive up the field like an attacker. He set a new Premier League sprint speed record, reaching a top speed of 37.38 km/h in a match against Brentford. His explosive pace is a huge asset for a team that plays a high defensive line especially last season under Ange, as it allows him to recover and track back against quick forwards. 82 rating also seems low given his season and should have been 84 alongside better physical stats for the Dutchman.
Van De Ven has seen an increase of +2 to his pace, +2 to his shooting, +1 to his dribbling. However he has see a decrease by -1 to both defence and physicality. He keeps his same 3 star weak and 3 star skill moves.
While the excitement is palpable, it is crucial to remember that these are, for now, just rumors. Leaks often circulate with a mix of accurate and inaccurate information. EA Sports has not yet made any official announcements. The official reveal of player ratings is expected in early September as is customary EA always releases the top 50 players and then the rest so until then nothing is official.
