Spurs have started the season disastrously, having already been knocked out of the EFL Cup by Liverpool and yet to win a Premier League game.
With Roberto De Zerbi at the helm, the club have invested heavily during the summer transfer window to strengthen their squad in all areas, though it has not changed the fortunes of the club.
In attack, the club signed Savio and Omar Marmoush from Manchester City, while Mykhailo Mudryk arrived from Chelsea to reunite with De Zerbi.
However, the summer firepower has not delivered, as the frontline has yet to fire all cylinders and score the goals needed to win crucial games.
Dominic Solanke has also not been able to produce goals, and Richarlison has been excluded from the squad by boss De Zerbi.
In the winter transfer window, Spurs will want to bring in a number 9 to add more versatility, pace, and goal-scoring threat in the frontline.
According to Sportwitness, Tottenham are interested in signing Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi, but face competition from Arsenal.
Nicolo Tresoldi has established himself in the starting eleven and is considered a key member at Club Brugge, and the Belgian outfit values him at around £60M.
During the last transfer window, Italian outfit AS Roma attempted to sign Tresoldi and tabled an offer worth £35M, but failed to bring him to Rome.
Tottenham and Arsenal are not the only clubs monitoring Tresoldi’s situation at Club Brugge, as Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and Barcelona are also in the mix.
Tresoldi began his football journey in Germany with Hannover 96’s youth side, and after progressing through the ranks in the academy, he became a star in the first-team.
In the summer of 2025, Club Brugge spent approximately £7M to sign Tresoldi from Hannover 96, and he put pen to paper on a five-year deal with the club.
Tresoldi is considered a modern striker, one who can link up seamlessly with his fellow attackers, while also positioning himself unmarked in the penalty box to score crucial goals.

Besides that, the 23-year-old is an extremely hard worker, making runs off the ball behind the opposition defence, tracking back to help his defence, and winning aerial duels in the penalty box.
He is also a clinical finisher inside the box, capable of striking the ball cleanly with both feet, comfortable in hold-up play under pressure, and good in the air.
De Zerbi prefers to play a high-pressing, fluid counter-attacking brand of football, in which the wingers overload the opposition box with crosses, and the midfield plays balls behind the opponents’ backline to create chances for the forwards.
The Italian manager’s 4-2-3-1 formation focuses on cramping the box with attackers, and it could be enhanced by Tresoldi’s brilliant hold-up play despite being under pressure.
Tresoldi could be a good fit at Tottenham, but it remains to be seen whether the North London club can fend off competition from rival clubs and bring him to the N17.
