Too much noise on Sven Botman to Liverpool transfer front for there to be no substance

Lille defender Sven Botman has been one of the names linked to Liverpool as the defending champions of England look to find a defensive reinforcement in an injury crisis.

Botman has been linked to the Merseyside club in their search for a new centre back, and the transfer fervour surrounding him is now running at an all time high as his agent dropped a hint of a move to Liverpool on Instagram.

Botman’s agency Muy Manero liked several comments on Instagram linking the Lille defender with a move to Liverpool soon.

The Dutch central defender only turned up the already sky high speculation by another notch when he was spotted to be with his agent via his Instagram story.

More eagle eyed fans also spotted reputed Liverpool journalist James Pearce following Botman on Instagram recently, fueling the rumours about Jurgen Klopp’s interest in the defender who joined Ligue 1 club LOSC Lille from his native SC Heerenveen in 2019.

Furthermore, Botman’s center-back partner at Lille, Jose Fonte also joked about losing another centre back as he lost Virgil van Dijk and Dejan Lovren to Liverpool in the past.

It might only be a matter of time before Liverpool get the defensive reinforcement they want to be able to defend the Premier League title they worked so hard to win after a gap of thirty long years.

Klopp might just get the man he wants to be a part of his successful Liverpool team, as Sven Botman might wear red for a different side by the end of the January transfer window: and go on to help Liverpool achieve their 20th Premiership title to go level with eternal rivals Manchester United.
