Last night’s FA Cup action saw a packed Manchester City side breeze past minnows Swindon Town. 

The 1-4 victory for the Cityzens was predictable and rather unceremonious in nature, what was noteworthy, however, was the man who got on the scoresheet for the home side. 

Scored by Aston Villa academy product Harry McKirdy the goal itself is nothing to write home about, the man who scored it on the other did seem to relish it. 

The reason for this is his massive fandom of City’s title rivals Chelsea. 

The 24-year-old is an avid Chelsea fan and a glance at his Instagram account reveal the extent of his fandom. 

The striker was present at the Champions League final clash between City and Chelsea, a passionate part of the Blues contingent which travelled to Porto. 

References to his beloved club are littered throughout his social media account, an image he posted on his story yesterday, in particular, grabbed the attention of fans. 

Posted before the game, the image unveils McKirdy’s wash bag, which is unique, to say the least. 

The washbag hosts the image of Kai Havertz scoring the Champions League winning goal past Ederson on the exterior.

Nonetheless, on this occasion, he managed to accomplish and scored the only goal for the home side. 

McKirdy struck low and slotted the ball past a diving Steffen, he then sprung into a full-fledged celebration despite the 3-1 deficit his side faced at the time. 

His enjoyment of the goal exceeded all doubts as posted an image of the celebration on Instagram after the game. 

The Chelsea fan also ended the caption with the date of the CL final ‘29.5.21’ and then added 2 stars, perhaps denoting Chelsea’s two Champions League titles.
