Did Michael Olise Really Drop a Rap Track or Was It A Hoax?

Bayern Munich, Football Lifestyle, Michael Olise

Throughout history, there have been many football players who, in addition to their respective careers as footballers, have also ventured into other fields, such as film, real estate, clothing brands, and many other fields. Many football players have also decided to start in the music business, having been passionate about it since childhood.

Examples include Jose Pinto, former FC Barcelona goalkeeper, Dutch winger Memphis Depay, Spain winger and former Real Madrid player Jesé Rodriguez, and now, it looks like Michael Olise, the English-born French winger who currently plays for FC Bayern Munich, has started doing some music.

A rap video surfaced on X which showed Olise in a wild outfit with grillz on his teeth and looking nothing like a footballer.

Since his days as a Crystal Palace player, Michael Olise has always stolen the spotlight thanks to his fast and direct style of play, and many said it was only a matter of time before a bigger team signed him. FC Bayern Munich was the one who decided to pursue him, and now he’s enjoying a great moment as a footballer.

But as far as releasing rap songs is considered, no, this is a lie. The song is actually a Travis Scott song named “DUMBO” which was released a few months ago.

As it turns out this clip was posted by Olise as a teaser on Instagram. What the Frenchman is brewing, we don’t know.

Though one can understand why fans would fall for the hoax as Olise does have a background in rap music in his own way.

When he was about to make his debut with the France national team, he was recorded performing the song Tha Streets 2 by Roddy Ricch, which he delivered with personality, even if his vocals weren’t perhaps the greatest.

Safe to say, Olise is focused on helping his side get to a perfect start in Bundesliga when they take on Augsburg this Saturday.

As far as what this teaser was about, we can only hope it would be something as classy as his style on the pitch.
