Popular FIFA/EA FC content creator Danny Aarons has once again found himself at the center of a social media storm following a highly anticipated stream where he completed and opened packs for the coveted La Liga Potm Kylian Mbappé Squad Building Challenge. The controversy began when Aarons, known for his high energy pack openings and Road to Glory series, dedicated a significant portion of his stream to completing a notoriously expensive Mbappé SBC. The SBC, which requires submitting multiple high rated squads, represents a monumental investment of in game currency (coins) or a massive outlay of fodder players for the vast majority of the player base. The SBC costs around 3.5 million to complete and requires 24 challenges to complete.
One user shared this sentiment “How does someone even afford that many 89 rated squads 🤣🤣.. my main team is 86.. and that’s actually high rn” lot of players especially free to play ones have very few cards due to the power curve this year.

For many players, the sheer cost and effort required to complete the Mbappé SBC makes it practically impossible. Seeing a prominent content creator who can dedicate vast amounts of time or resources to the game achieve a phenomenal, rare pull seemingly effortlessly accentuates the disparity between the experiences of professional streamers and casual players. Leaving many people frustrated at this situation.
One user commented saying “Respect the game curve brother” in relation to Danny flooding the market with players he has opened from packs and selling them for coins to afford the SBC.

Critics argue that the viral success of streams like Aarons’ perpetuates the illusion that packing top tier cards is a reasonable expectation, despite the documented low odds. This, they claim, pressures players into spending more real money on FC Points to acquire the necessary fodder or to buy more packs.
One user stated that “That literally cost you at least $300” this is where the issue lies as he can earn that amount back from streams and revenue from Youtube whereas a player cannot spend that much money. Another user stated “How can we compete” feeling the same frustration as many others.
While not accusing Aarons of any wrongdoing, some users expressed bitterness over the cycle. Content creators generate revenue by opening packs and completing expensive challenges, which allows them to afford more challenges and packs, leading to more high value pulls and more content. This cycle is completely out of reach for the typical player. One user defended him “It is his job to create content to be fair” which is an absolutely fair point as this is Danny’s source of income and his job.
As the FC 26 season’s cycle progresses, the outrage is likely to fade, but the underlying tension between the content creators’ success and the community’s struggle for parity will remain a major talking point in the community.
