When Japan Coach Moriyasu Went Full Fanboy Mode Over Harry Kane

England National Football Team, Harry Kane

Harry Kane, considered as one of the best forwards of this generation, has long been a prolific goalscorer for club and country.

But since his move to German giants, Bayern Munich, he added something that was missing from his cabinet during Spurs days, trophies.

The forward has already won four trophies with the Bavarian club and has had another goal filled season which saw him clinching the Bundesliga, as well as European golden boot this season by virtue of scoring 36 Bundesliga goals, with the number rising to 61 across competition.

Experts such as Robbie Keane and Paul Robinson feel Harry Kane’s performance this season is Ballon d’Or worthy.

However, after his recent success with Bayern, Harry Kane at this moment has his sights set not on any individual honors, but on the ultimate prize in football, the World Cup.

The England captain has started the campaign brightly by scoring a first half brace which saw him drawing level with Gary Lineker as England’s top scorer in the World Cup, as his side brushed aside the Croatia challenge, defeating them 4-2 in their mega tournament opener.

Kane and the Three Lions are now preparing to take on the Ghana side on 23rd June, but before that an off field video featuring Kane has caught the attention of many recently.

In that video, one can see a middle aged man fanboying over Kane, asking for a selfie with him, which the star player gladly obliged resulting in pure joy visible in that man’s smile.

It all seems quite normal for a player of Kane’s stature, only until you find the person asking for a selfie with Kane is none other than Japan’s head coach, Hajime Moriyasu

Moriyasu has built quite a name for himself as  the Japanese team head coach, making them competitive and a tough team to beat.

His team’s development under him was in full show during their World Cup opener against Netherlands where they fell behind twice and responded each time.

In fact Japan is unbeaten against European oppositions over the past five years and Moriyasu’s men have beaten the likes of Germany, Spain and even Kane’s England recently in a friendly.

The recent video of Kane and Moriyasu seems to be taken back in March, when they faced each other as that match’s venue, Wembley Stadium’s nameplate can be seen clearly in the background.

This interaction between two popular figures of football at one hand shows Moriyasu’s immense down to earth nature, while on the other it showcases the ever growing reputation and fandom of Harry Kane.
