This Football Kit With 23 Sponsors Has No Chill

Football Kits

TSV Hartberg, a small Austrian Bundesliga team based in a town of just 7,000 residents, has taken kit sponsorship to an unprecedented level.

For their 2025–26 season kits, they’ve plastered a total of 23 separate sponsors across their jerseys, shorts, and even socks. There are 17 sponsors on the shirt’s front, 5 on the shorts’ front, and 1 on the socks.

Hartberg’s kit likely features more sponsors than almost any other documented example in club history.

But what is the reason that this small Austrian-based club is so aggressive in its marketing and sponsorship approach?

The high number of sponsors on Hartberg’s kit is a financial necessity.

As a small-town club with limited matchday and broadcasting revenue, they rely on numerous smaller sponsors for solvency and Bundesliga survival.

This model aligns with Austria’s local economy, where regional businesses sponsor the club for visibility across the Styrian region.

Furthermore, Austria’s liberal regulatory environment, unlike most leagues, allows over 20 legal sponsor placements per kit, making maximized brand exposure essential for the club’s finances.

Fans must be wondering where they can buy the kit if needed and what the price looks like.

Anyone interested in sporting this monstrosity can buy official TSV Hartberg kits from the club’s official website

The 25/26 kit is yet to be officially placed for sale on the site, but it might be out sooner than expected.

Additionally, they can also find it at the 11teamsports Fan Shop physical stores in Austria and other stores located in Europe.

In terms of price, the home kit for 2024/25 (close model) was originally sold at €79.95 but is now available at €59.96 (a 25% discount).

However, the 25/26 season kit is estimated to retail for around €80–100, with discounts likely reducing the figure to around €60–80.

In terms of the footballing side on the pitch, TSV Hartberg finished the 2024/25 Austrian Bundesliga season in the Qualification Group, placing 2nd with 31 points

Across 32 games, they recorded 11 wins, 11 draws, and 10 losses, scoring and conceding 40 goals, ending with a neutral goal difference.

While they avoided relegation threats, they also missed out on the top-six Meistergruppe and any shot at European qualification.

Heading into the 2025/26 season, Hartberg is taking a bold off-field approach.

Their kits feature a record number of sponsors, reflecting strong commercial backing.

Brands like Profertil, Egger Glas, and 11teamsports are prominent, signaling confidence and ambition.

While not title challengers, their strategy suggests a push for greater stability, visibility, and possibly a top-six finish.

Right, then. TSV Hartberg may not officially hold a record, but their sponsor-packed kit is unmatched in visibility.

In a league where every euro counts, they’ve turned their jersey into a billboard of survival and strategy, drawing attention, funding, and no shortage of conversation.
