Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres has been one of the biggest sensations in football over the last two seasons thanks to his style of play and also for his incredible goalscoring ability. His time as a Sporting CP player was what led him to become one of the most sought-after footballers and forwards in world football, and he was considered by many more to be one of the best forwards in the world. It was only recently that the Swede decided to sign for Arsenal FC for €63.5 million with add-ons, choosing the number 14 shirt, the same number worn by Frenchman Thierry Henry, the greatest player in Arsenal history.
Thanks to hi nationality, lethal goal-scoring ability and stature, many football fans consider him the successor or the new Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the best striker to come from Sweden and also one of the best numbers “9” in history.
Viktor Gyokeres is someone who has almost all the qualities a center forward should have: he is tall, fast, agile, has good aerial game, good stamina, is physically strong and knows how to pass the ball. Without a doubt, what characterizes him most is his combination of speed and physical strength.
The Swede recently made his debut with Arsenal in a preseason match against Tottenham, which they lost 1-0. Gyokeres played little, coming on only in the 77th minute and playing for almost 20 minutes. Many expected Gyokeres to score a goal on his debut, especially given the goalscoring ability he demonstrated throughout his time in Portugal, but unfortunately, the goal never came and he didn’t play well either, which was also a topic of conversation after the game.

But what many fans noticed, especially those from England, is that his slow running reminded them of British YouTuber and influencer Amin Mohamed, better known as Chunkz. Chunkz, not being a footballer and not being in shape, is super slow at running and he demonstrated this in a charity football match.
Gyokeres runs like Chunks 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Fans are unforgiving when it comes to joking or trolling online. Many on Twitter (now X) have repeatedly posted that the Swede runs like Chunkz, and many have also commented on the Arsenal FC forward’s Instagram.

Many others have even commented that Chunkz himself is even faster than the Swede.

But trolling and joking aside, there are those who do take Gyokeres’ situation more seriously. Some believe his “slowness” is due to the different pace of play in the Premier League and the striker’s physique; let’s remember that Gyokeres is 1.89 m tall and weighs 94 kilograms. He needs to lose at least 10 kilograms of muscle to be able to run better.
Gyokeres is 1,89 m tall and is weighing 94kgs. Yeah, he needs to cut 10kgs minimum. The way he runs is like he has concrete boots on his legs. He needs to get leaner ASAP.

Some even say that because of his height and physique, he’s running like the current Luis Suárez, who is super slow. Let’s hope Gyokeres loses some weight and can show off and repeat what he did with Sporting CP.
