Over the past couple of years, AC Milan has seen the departure of key players—Olivier Giroud, Simon Kjaer, Theo Hernandez, Tijjani Reijnders, and Pierre Kalulu— so the Italian club will be undergoing a restructuring process this coming season and has brought in players such as the legendary Luka Modric, the Ecuadorian Pervis Estupiñan, and the Serbian Strahinja Pavlovic, while another new player is the young Swiss Ardon Jashari.

Ardon Jashari is a Swiss footballer born on July 30, 2002 in Cham, Switzerland. He began his career as a footballer in 2013 in the team’s reserve team and was there until 2019. In 2020, on July 31, he would finally make his debut with the team against Zurich in a 2-1 victory. He has also been a member of the Swiss national team since 2022.
Jashari would remain with the club for four years until 2024, when he signed for Club Brugge. The Swiss player’s stay at the Belgian club would be short, as he would only be there for one season before leaving for AC Milan, but he would be so instrumental in the team that he would be awarded the Belgian Pro League Player of the Year and the Belgian Young Player of the Year. He would also win the Belgian Cup with Club Brugge.
During his season with Club Brugge, Jashari scored 4 goals and provided 6 assists in the 52 matches he played. Jashari joined the Italian team for around €36 million from the aforementioned Club Brugge, as per TransferMarket.
The midfielder’s contract with AC Milan runs until 2030, and this move is currently seen as a long-term move, as many within the team believe Jashari can become one of the best midfielders in the world if he puts his mind to it.

I’m telling you this guy is one of the biggest Milanisti ever my goodness pic.twitter.com/gZwmcWbTuO
Jashari is usually positioned as a left defensive midfielder, thanks to his ability to win balls back and initiate counterattacks. However, he has occasionally been deployed as a central midfielder in a hybrid role, due to his ball control and footwork.
He has a very similar playing style to Rodrigo’s, so at AC Milan he will almost certainly be used in the “regista” role, also known as the deep-lying playmaker. Jashari is the only U-23 player in the world to rank in the 85th percentile for progressive carries, progressive passes completed, and forward pass completion percentage. He’s already proving he has what it takes to be a star.
Jashari’s move to AC Milan makes him, thanks to his Albanian heritage, the first Albanian footballer to play for the Italian giants.
He’s already been seen training with Luka Modric at AC Milan, and this is very clever of him, as there’s no better mentor than Modric. The Swiss will undoubtedly learn a lot from the Croatian this season.

It is also known that with the Italian team, the Swiss will wear the number 30.
This is the exact moment for Jashari to shine. Here is hoping he can deliver at AC Milan.
