EA Sports will soon be dropping an exciting new Evolution in EA FC 26 Ultimate Team according to leaks. The Eighth King of Rome Evolution allows gamers to upgrade their strikers and transform them into CAMs and give significant stat boosts as well, offering incredible versatility for squad builders looking to enhance their attacking options.
This is a paid EVO requiring around 20,000 coins or 300 FC Points to be unlocked, and it’s the first Evolution released as part of the Cornerstones Team 2 promo. While it comes with a price tag, the substantial stat boosts and position flexibility make it a compelling investment for Ultimate Team enthusiasts.
Not every striker card qualifies for this Evolution. To be eligible, a player must meet the following requirements: Max rating 83, Position ST, Max three positions, Max pace 85, Max five PlayStyles, and must not be World Tour Silver Superstars. These requirements are designed to prevent already overpowered cards from becoming even more dominant, while giving lower rated strikers a chance to shine in your squad. A great way to keep the game fresh and ensure the power curve remains in check.
Unlike some previous Evolutions, The Eighth King of Rome features four complete levels of upgrades, each packed with meaningful stat boosts.
Level 1 provides the crucial position change, giving you CAM position, Roles Playmaker+, Stamina +5 (Max 80), Volleys +9 (Max 86), and Reactions +6 (Max 83) and overall +5 (Max 85)
To complete you need to play two matches in Squad Battles on minimum Semi Pro difficulty (or Rush/Rivals/Champions/Live Events) using your active EVO player, this should be pretty easy to do for all players.

Level 2 focuses on creativity and physicality, adding Weak Foot +1 star (Max three star), Inventive PlayStyle, Long Passing +5 (Max 84), Vision +9 (Max 86), Short Passing +4 (Max 85), and Strength +5 (Max 77).
To complete this you to win two matches in Squad Battles on minimum Semi Pro difficulty (or Rush/Rivals/Champions/Live Events) with your active EVO player.

Level 3 turns your card into a deadly finisher with Skill moves +1 star (Max three star), Role (ST False 9+), Positioning +6 (Max 83), Sprint Speed +7 (Max 83), Finishing +8 (Max 86), and Acceleration +8 (Max 83).
This time you need to play three matches rather than two in Squad Battles on minimum Semi Pro difficulty (or Rush/Rivals/Champions/Live Events) using your active EVO player.

Level 4 rounds out the Evolution with Long Passing +4 (Max 84), Stamina +5 (Max 80), Reactions +6 (Max 83), Strength +5 (Max 77), Short Passing +5 (Max 85), and Ball Control +9 (Max 85).
This time you rather than playing matches you one win in Squad Battles on minimum Semi Pro difficulty (or Rush/Rivals/Champions/Live Events) with your active EVO player.
The challenges are relatively straightforward and can be completed fairly quickly, especially if you opt for Squad Battles on Semi Pro difficulty.

The Eighth King of Rome Evolution offers exceptional value for several reasons:
The ability to switch between ST and CAM gives you tactical options mid-game and helps with chemistry in squad building. Getting both CAM Playmaker+ and ST False 9+ means your player will excel in multiple roles, whether dropping deep to create chances or making runs into the box. The significant acceleration and sprint speed upgrades turn slower strikers into genuine pace threats. The cumulative passing upgrades create great distribution from your forward, perfect for build up play. Adding stars to skills and weak foot dramatically improves in game versatility.
The community has already identified several standout candidates who will benefit massively from this Evolution. Some of the most overpowered and popular players include Matheus Cunha (83), Leandro Trossard (83), Oscar Trejo (83), Thomas Muller (83), Melvine Malard (82), Yoane Wissa (82), Joao Pedro (79).

I personally feel that if you have completed the Cover Athlete and Cam Upgrade evolutions on Rutter, he is a great choice for this evo. 5 star skill moves and 5 star weak foot, 83 pace, 81 shooting, 81 passing French and plays in the Premier league absolute machine of a card if you add an engine to him.

The Eighth King of Rome Evolution represents one of the most comprehensive and valuable upgrades available in EA FC 26 Ultimate Team so far. For just 20,000 coins or 300 FC Points, you can transform an affordable striker into an elite, versatile attacker capable of dominating in multiple positions. It is also super easy to complete as you can finish all the steps in squad battles. This is definitely one to complete and for 20,000 coins gives great value.
