Which FC 26 POTM SBC to Complete, Harry Kane or Christian Pulisic?

FC 26

EA Sports FC 26 has dropped two exciting Player of the Month Squad Building Challenges, featuring Harry Kane and Christian Pulisic.

Both cards offer significant upgrades, but which one deserves your coins? Let’s break down the costs, stats, and value to help you make the right decision.

Key stats for the Cards

Harry Kane

  • Rating: 90
  • Position: Striker
  • Estimated Cost: ~185,000 coins
  • Key Stats: Elite finishing, positioning, and shot power
  • Major Weakness: 72 Pace

Christian Pulisic

  • Rating: 87
  • Position: Striker (can play RW and CAM)
  • Market Value: ~310,000 coins
  • Key Stats: Strong pace, agility, and dribbling
  • Weak Foot: 5 Star
  • Skill Moves: 4 Star
  • Major Weakness: No playstyle+

Kane’s SBC comes in at approximately 185,000 coins, which actually makes it slightly overpriced compared to his 90 rated Team of the Week card available on the transfer market for around 120,000 coins. This is a significant consideration if you’re working with a limited budget. Pulisic is even more expensive, his SBC will cost around 300,000 coins to complete. These SBC’s will last a month so get grinding if you want to complete them.

Here are the requirements and rewards you get for completing the SBC, Kane requires just 3 squads.

Pulisic requires 5 squads and will be out of reach of many players, requiring 2 86 rated squads and 1 87 rated squad.

Harry Kane is a devastating finisher thanks to his exceptional shooting stats and the Advanced Forward++, making him a perfect choice for a target man or poacher who can utilize his strong physical presence in the box. However, his 72 Pace is a major liability in the current meta, causing him to struggle against fast defenders in higher divisions and limiting his effectiveness in fast paced counter attacking play, where better, similarly priced alternatives often exist. You will need to put an engine on him and even then his pace is just 75. However he has the broken Low Driven Shot playstyle+, given his elite shooting, any shot you take in the box will be clinical. Another thing to mention is that Bruiser playstyle defenders will get a patch in the game soon and Kane has 84 physicality, which will help him withstand pressure from CBs with that playstyle.

On the other hand, Christian Pulisic is more viable in the current meta due to his superior pace, and his 5 star weak foot offers incredible versatility, complemented by excellent dribbling and agility for operating in tight spaces. Pulisic’s ability to play multiple attacking positions (ST, CAM, RW) makes him more competitive in modes like Division Rivals and Weekend League, though his lower overall rating means some of his base stats won’t match elite cards, and he may struggle against dominant CBs especially after the new patch in physical battles. Surprisingly for a POTM card, he has no playstyle+ and no finesse shot playstyle either. He seems like a very expensive player to get and the value does not seem worth it, especially as his 86 rated TOTW card costs 100k less on the market and there is very less to differentiate between the two.

I, personally feel Kane is the better deal here. Kane’s 185,000 coin price tag is justified when you consider what you’re getting, a world class striker with elite shooting, Advanced Forward++ PlayStyle, and the ability to score from any situation inside the box. His finishing stats are among the best in the game, meaning fewer wasted chances and more wins. Remember, the best choice ultimately depends on your playstyle, squad needs, and how many coins you’re willing to commit to an untradeable asset. Kane represents the safer investment for players who prioritize consistent goal scoring over raw pace, making him the smarter long-term option for building a competitive squad. The only question is how will most players be able to afford these big SBCs.
