EA Sports has fundamentally reshaped how players engage with seasonal content in FC 26, introducing a comprehensive XP based progression system that promises to keep players invested throughout each season.
The new approach offers multiple avenues for earning experience points, ensuring that whether you’re a casual player or a competitive grinder, there’s always a rewarding path forward.
At the heart of FC 26’s seasonal experience lies the Season Pass, a battle pass system that serves as the primary engine for unlocking rewards.
As players complete matches and objectives, they earn XP that levels up their pass and unlocks a tier of rewards at every level, making the Season Pass the primary way to earn free packs, cosmetics, and high rated player cards.
There is also a premium version of the pass which costs 1000 FC points and the rewards it offers is much better compared to the free one. It is to the point where it feels like EA wants everyone to purchase the premium pass with the free rewards amounting to nothing for most players.

This design encourages consistent engagement without forcing players into a single game mode.
Instead of funneling everyone into one specific activity, EA has deliberately created multiple avenues for XP acquisition, recognizing that the player base has diverse preferences and schedules. You can get XP from manager live hub, Rivals, Squad Battles, Rush etc.
However the initial launch of the Season Pass in EA Sports FC 26 was met with community feedback regarding the slow rate of XP progression.
Many players found it extremely difficult to achieve the maximum level and unlock the most desirable rewards within the season’s timeframe, especially since XP objectives for modes like Manager Career and Player Career often failed to reset weekly for some users, effectively locking out substantial amounts of Season Points (SP).
In response to this, EA appears to have introduced or highlighted additional Season Points to aid player progression. EA have added Season Objective (5000 XP), Weekly Objectives (1750 XP), Icon Home Kit (1500 XP) and Daily Objectives (225 XP).
By either fixing the bugged weekly objectives like those in Manager and Player Career or introducing substantial, easier to achieve objectives and boosts, EA is addressing the initial XP deficit and making the max level more attainable for active players. This will help us in getting the World Tour Morgan Rogers and Fikayo Tomori.
