Barcelona’s Squad Collapsed Into Each Other at the Corner Flag and Football Twitter Loved It

On Tuesday, Barcelona staged a comeback against Atletico Madrid at Camp Nou to beat them 3-1, which extended their lead to the top of the table by 4 points albeit, just for a day.

Atletico Madrid struck first in the 20th minute with Alex Baena’s sublime finish on a counter. Barcelona equalized six minutes later via Raphinha, which was assisted by Pedri.

Dani Olmo converted a penalty (despite dislocating his shoulder) in the 2nd half to put Barca ahead, though they missed one earlier via Lewandowski in the first half. The game was sealed by Ferran Torres with his goal in the 96th minute.

Following the injury time goal and the winner from Ferran Torres, the celebrations went wild as it saw the whole Barcelona squad, including the keeper Joan Garcia, celebrate near the corner flag.

Marc Casado was seen climbing on Balde’s back but eventually failed to do so and fell down, which later saw the goalscorer, Ferran Torres himself also falling down after stumbling upon Casado like a domino effect.

The injured Fermín Lopez also sprinted from the bench to join the pile-on, while goalkeeper Joan Garcia completed a sprint all the way from the other end of the field to embrace his teammates

The hilarious images and videos quickly went viral across Football Twitter and encapsulated the togetherness seen in Hansi Flick’s boys.

This win against Atletico Madrid saw Barca maintain their unbeaten home record (8W-0L, 27 goals scored, 4 conceded), which has been a fortress under the German, Hansi Flick.

Meanwhile Atletico Madrid, who are now eight points down after the defeat, face a tough challenge away to Athletic Bilbao this weekend.

Barcelona will now face Real Betis away on the weekend, but with Real Madrid’s 3-0 win against Bilbao, the pressure for the title remains on.
