La Liga has just announced its retro month, and of course, one of the clubs that everyone was excited to see release jerseys was Barcelona.

The Cataluna club has delivered some of the most iconic looks in its jerseys. Be it the all-silver centenary shirt worn in the 1999/00 season or the 2008/09 jersey that saw the club lift the treble for the first time.

With retro month coming up, Barcelona decided to run it back to another Champions League-winning jersey. Barcelona chose to reissue the iconic Ronaldinho No.10 from the 2005/06 season. It is remembered as an iconic season where Barcelona beat Arsenal 2-1 in the UEFA Champions League final to lift their second UEFA Champions League.

The Jersey has been released in collaboration with Nike. It was released as tribute to Ronaldinho as a tribute to his #10 and the influence he has had on the club.

The jersey features the vintage Nike Total 90 design. It also features the classic Blaugrana red and blue stripes. It also contains patches from the period, like the TV3 logo and the LaLiga logo. The shirt also contains yellow highlights that were well-known for being used in that period. The shirt also features the iconic #10 on the back with Ronaldinho.

Barcelona’s players wore the Jersey as a pre-match tribute before their match vs Rayo Vallecano. It was only poetic of course, that they went on to win that match 1-0 thanks to a goal in the 24th minute from Ronald Araujo.

Fans absolutely loved the jersey, as many fans reacted positively on social media. Many fans who were at the stadium for the match also rushed to the Camp Nou store to be among the first to own the beautiful kit.

Fans loved the tribute, and many took to Twitter to praise the tribute. They talked about Ronaldinho’s legendary status at the club and how it is fitting for the club to deliver a tribute to him.

Fans of the club loved the concept of player tributes so much that they even talked about current or other players from their past who could get such a tribute in the future.

It is also worth mentioning that Barcelona, in spite of this release, will be wearing their home kit from the 24/25 season for the Retro month; much to the disappointment of many fans. One fan, Thekitsbaia, talked about how he was disappointed that Barcelona were wearing last season’s kit. – “Yet they’re wearing last season’s home kit for La Liga retro day

The Jersey has been made available on the Barcelona Website and in stores. The basic version of the jersey is available for 100 Euros, and the version of the jersey that is printed with Ronaldinho and #10 on the back will cost 129.99.

The jersey is just a small effort to remember the impact that Ronaldinho has had on the sport and how much his influence has shaped modern football and the way people view and appreciate Brazilian football. He will be forever remembered as the face of the Joga Bonito.
