Social media accounts of football computer game Pro Evolution Soccer posted a new video online welcoming Rangers’ new acquisition Jermain Defoe. .

The Bournemouth player is on an 18-month loan deal at the Ibrox Stadium with a release clause.

The 36-year-old English forward has scored 162 goals in 496 appearances in  the Premier League and the excitement among Rangers fans after the transfer has definitely been peaked by the video released by PES on Twitter.

Defoe’s likeness to his in-game look in PES is remarkably close, and the ten-second video has now received over 48000 views on Twitter.

After Rangers joined Liverpool and Barcelona last year, along with Celtic as premium partners of Konami, fans were waiting for the developers to recreate Ibrox Stadium and update more in-game player faces.

Now that PES has released Defoe’s in-game look, it could be only a matter of days before gamers can enjoy playing matches at a recreated Ibrox Stadium in PES 2019.
