A fiercely contested match at Wembley between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United ended with United winning by a single goal last night.
Bitter with a home defeat, Spurs fans have been quick to point out the chink in their defensive armour- Kieran Trippier.
The Englishman, who had a rather sketchy match against United, was also at the root of Rashford’s winner after his pass was intercepted by Lingard, who passed it to Pogba before Rashford struck the ball past Lloris.
Minutes before the goal, Trippier was also at the heart of a scuffle with Anthony Martial when the Frenchman refused to kick the ball out of play after Moussa Sissoko was injured.
Irritated by this, Trippier charged at Martial and pushed him. Martial was livid and looked like he was about to ruin Trippier before Harry Winks was able to separate them.
