It is no secret that Liverpool are suffering one of the most devastating center-back crisis the club has ever seen.
It is a credit to Jurgen Klopp and his squad that Liverpool still find themselves involved in a title race despite missing the center-back duo of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez for almost 3 months now.
The makeshift center-back lineup led by Fabinho and consisting the likes of Jordan Henderson, Rhys Williams, Nat Phillips and occasional appearances from Joel Matip has managed to keep the Reds in contention till now.
Though, you would assume the fans will love the sight of having any of Van Dijk or Joe Gomez back in action.
Both the players are still quite a way off from starting for Liverpool anytime soon but at least there is good news when it comes to their rehabilitation as the club released photos of the duo working their way to recovery at the AXA Training Center.
Nasty scar on Joe Gomez’s left knee
The 23-year-old has had a hard time dealing with injuries in such a short span of time in his career and it was painful to bear when the news broke of his knee injury while training with England back in November last year.
To Gomez’s credit, he has managed to come back strongly after every setback and Liverpool fans would be hoping it is the same case this time again.
Though, the gnarly scar on his left knee suggests they might have to wait for quite a while before he takes the pitch again.
