Viral Barcelona concept kit based on Sagrada Familia has been turned into reality

One of the best concept kits seen on social media in recent memory has been turned into reality, as Chinese counterfeiters have manufactured the Barcelona concept kit that went viral on social media last week.

The kit made the rounds on Twitter for being an extremely fashionable contrast to the rumoured-to-be 21/22 Barcelona home kit.

The pattern dominating the shirt is based on the Sagrada Familia Basilica situated in Barcelona, a UNESCO world heritage site.

The Barcelona concept kit in discussion features the familiar Blaugrana colours of the Catalan club, but features them in an unprecedented texture.

The kit follows the unconventional template where both the manufacturer’s logo and the club crest are in the centre of the kit – placed above the principal sponsors Rakuten.

The familiar Barcelona crest known all across the world is also featured in an innovative way where the full name is spelt out instead of just the ‘FCB’ initials – while the writing on the kit, as well as the collar and the sleeves are emblazoned in gold.

The concept shirt received a very positive reaction from the Barcelona fans on Twitter but are certain to be annoyed now that their fantasy has been turned into reality as the manufactured shirt looks extremely unappealing –
