With the Colchoneros just seconds away from winning the La Liga title, Valladolid’s Jota dribbled his way out of the back in swagger and then passed the ball to his teammate to take it further towards Atletico’s goal until the play was halted down by a robust Kieran Trippier clearance.
Simeone had a perfect view from the sidelines and reacted in such a wild manner that it perhaps left even Trippier himself a bit shell-shocked.
