Pray for Hazard: Real Madrid gym footage fills football fans with horror

Eden Hazard’s injury record since joining Real Madrid has been nothing short of an unprecedented disaster.

The Belgian forward joined Los Blancos from Chelsea for a fee of close to £100m in the summer of 2019, but recurring injuries have made sure that he never reached his form with the Blues in the white jersey of Real Madrid.

While his injury record was attributed to him joining the club while being visibly overweight, his injuries have continued even after he slimmed – making fans think that there might be something else going wrong.

A sneak peek from Real Madrid’s pre-season gym session ahead of the upcoming season has seen the players take part in different drills at the gym – some of which have baffled the online football community.

The clip particularly featured Hazard who was seen to be participating in a leg pressing drill – while he constantly looks to be in the danger of hyperextending his knee at any moment.

Football fans online were left horror-stricken and wondering about the lack of proper instruction put on display by the professional players playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Hazard was accompanied by Casemiro, Dani Carvajal, Vinicíus Juniór and Éder Militao in the aforementioned clip – but none of the players showed any half-decent form while taking part in such physically demanding exercises.

It made football fans online double guess about the reason for Hazard’s physical decline at the Spanish capital – the Belgian who missed only 21 games in 7 years for Chelsea was rocked by a number of recurring knee problems in his two seasons at Real.

One of the fittest players at Chelsea transformed into a regular resident of the Sanitas medical facility while at Real Madrid, and football fans seem to think that it just might be down to the club and not the player.
