Twitter reacts as Memphis Depay scores first goal for Barca with a thunderstrike

Memphis Depay showed raw hunger for goals as he slammed a close-range missile to put Barcelona level in their 1-1 draw against Athletic Bilbao.

Already a key man for Barca, Depay drove with intent after collecting a pass from Sergi Roberto and smashed a left-footed shot past Julen Agirrezabala in the Bilbao net.

The Dutchman’s goal in the 75th minute saved Ronald Koeman’s side from an impending defeat after Inigo Martinez had put the home side ahead early in the second half at San Mames.

The former Manchester United player had been carrying the attack in the preseason & the first match and made an impact again as he scored his first goal for his new club.
