The embrace that ended all rumours of rift between Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe

The embrace that ended all rumours of rift between Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal is an outfit replete with young talents. The side’s performances this season owes much to the creative exploits of players like Emile Smith Rowe, Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and so on.

However, Arsenal fans were left on the edge after rumours broke of a supposed tiff between Martin Odegaard and youth prospect Smith Rowe.

The rumours stemmed from Odegaard’s glum reaction to Smith Rowe scoring Arsenal’s second goal against West Ham after being replaced by the 21-year-old England international.

Fortunately, fans breathed sighs of relief after Arsenal’s game against Leeds United last night. Not only did the north London outfit claim a comprehensive 4-1 victory on the road, but the match also put to bed any rumours suggesting a tiff between the midfield duo.

With the match poised in Arsenal’s favour at 3-1, Smith Rowe smashed home on the half volley through Odegaard’s assist, and the celebration that ensued was evident enough to dispel rumours of any rift between the two.

Odegaard was seen with his arms around his English teammate in almost a half-embrace, assuring everybody that there was no friction between them.

The photo of the duo celebrating with other teammates was a hit amongst Gunners supporters.

It’s safe to conclude there’s no animosity between these two players who’ve been so crucial to Arsenal, a team that finds itself breaking into the top-4 this season for the first time.

And though vying for the same creator-in-chief role, Smith and Odegaard showed they can co-exist in the same lineup for Mikel Arteta.
