Twitter reacts as video emerges of Ivan Toney saying “f*ck Brentford” whilst on holiday

Brentford striker Ivan Toney has landed himself in trouble after a video emerged in which the player used explicit language towards his club.

The 25-year-old is currently enjoying time off the pitch during the Premier League winter break in Dubai.

The video which emerged on Snapchat showed Toney alongside a woman, who proceeded to shout “F*ck Brentford” into the camera.

The camera then turns to the Brentford player who retorts by repeating the x-rated comment, with a nonchalant shrug.

Naturally, the video did not go down well with Bees’ supporters.

Many were reasonably outraged and called for fines and disciplinary actions against the players.

Football fans on Twitter, on the other hand, had a field day with the video.

Users speculated about the reason for the language used by Toney.

Some assumed it was an attempt to impress the female in the video while others placed the blame on alcohol.

Alongside these were some truly hilarious takes –

The striker soon acknowledged his mistake and posted an apology through his social media accounts.

Toney has stated that he’s already talked to manager Thomas Frank and conveyed his apologies to the club.

He finished the apology off by stating his desire to get back to training and score more goals for his club.
