Leaked design shows Liverpool 22/23 away kit to be a classic white strip with red and blue marbled print

Liverpool’s 2019/20 season would always be a memorable once for the club as it saw them end a 30-year drought to secure the Premier League title.

Having won the Champions League in the previous season, the Reds were also able to attain more trophies during their PL winning season such as the Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup and finishing the campaign with 3 trophies.

After a run of trophyless seasons since their 2012 League Cup triumph, Liverpool fans would always relish the 19/20 season for the sudden successes.

The season was also memorable because of the strip Liverpool wore on their away trips as the Merseyside club brought back a full white away kit for the first time since 2015.

In this spirit, it looks like Nike have taken a page out of this collaboration between New Balance and the club, to design a white away kit for the 2022/23 campaign according to a new leak.

Much like the New Balance kit, Nike’s version too combines the traditional all-white shirt with black used for the badges and the ‘Standard Chartered’ sponsor sign in the centre.

But this time the kit features black round collars and black rounded sleeve ends. Nike have also ditched the plain white and have instead opted for a touch of colour on the shirt with a red and blue marbled print running on both the front and the back.

The back of the shirt continues to feature the ‘97 mark’ under the collar in honour of the Hillsborough disaster victims.

The return of this iconic strip would have Liverpool fans hoping for another trophy-laden campaign as the Red look to chase down a quadruple this season having already won the League Cup.
