Pedro Pascal has gained a level of viral popularity that he’s now even become a meme on social media. The Last of Us actor is one of the hottest TV stars in the world right now, starring in some of the most popular and critically acclaimed shows over the last few years.
Pascal is currently playing the lead role of Din Djarin in the Disney+ show The Mandalorian, just after his admirable performance of ‘Joel’ in The Last of Us. The Chile-born actor has shown a desire to portray more serious characters who hardly crack jokes or like to fool around.
This is kind of the opposite of what Pascal is in his real life. He’s a laid-back, really entertaining person who loves to make jokes and does funny things in interviews too. He recently appeared with Jon Favreau, the director of The Mandalorian, for LadBible TV’s ‘Snack Wars’ show – for which he’s been constantly turned into a meme.
What did Pedro Pascal do in ‘Snack Wars’?
The entire point of ‘Snack Wars’ is that celebrities are made to eat snacks from two countries and decide which country has the better food. In the case of Pascal and Favreau, it was pitting American snacks with Chilean snacks.
It ended up being a roll-over for the Chilean snacks, with both of them admitting that they were better – with Chile winning with a 4-1 margin over the snacks of the USA.
At one point in the show, the two were made to taste the American classic, Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich along with Chile’s famous breakfast item named ‘Marraqueta’ – a type of roll alongside an avocado spread.
Pascal was clear that his win in this contest would be the Marraqueta because of his links to it. He tasted the PB&J sandwich too and had the funniest reaction, almost spacing out for a bit of time and just munching on the sandwich without hearing about anything else around him. Even though the episode first aired a month ago, that particular moment from the Snack Wars show has gone viral across all social media platforms.
The Pedro Pascal sandwich memes
The clip of Pascal just crunching on the sandwich gained a real following and became a bit of a trend on TikTok, with many users using that clip to make funny videos where they tried showing off how everything was perfect in their lives.
This quickly also caught up with Twitter, with fans loving how Pascal is expressionless at that moment and doesn’t seem to have a care in the world while munching on the PB&J sandwich. Some users are even making videos of them eating some stuff trying to replicate his reaction – with his clip also included in them too.
Pascal is a really popular figure among the younger generation right now for starring in some of the biggest hit shows, but this meme is a rather strange one and also annoying some fans. The fact that a video of someone just munching on a sandwich has become a viral meme has infuriated some people, who are just simply sick of watching this boring trend become so popular.
Pedro is yet to give his opinion on the memes around his sandwich-munching reaction, but because these memes only further increase his general popularity around the world – he definitely won’t mind this meme being used to infinity.
