Italian heavyweights Inter Milan have had a thoroughly mixed campaign this season, one that could actually end up being memorable in the best way possible.
The Nerazzurri currently sit in 6th place on the Serie A table, which is far from ideal considering that they are likely to miss out on a Champions League qualification berth.
But Inter does have an alternative route to next season’s UCL, as the side are one of the final 4 teams left in this season’s competition.
A blockbuster semi-final tie against arch-rivals AC Milan at the San Siro will likely decide the fate of Inter’s season, and whether or not it is worthy of being labelled as ‘mixed’.
While this remains to be seen, what does seem worthy of being described as ‘mixed ‘ are Nerazzuri’s leaked kits for the upcoming 2023/24 campaign.
Inter enjoyed 3 solid Nike-designed strips for the ongoing season, which included a strictly-traditional take on the black/blue home kit and a creative, globetrotting look for the away strip.
Judging by these premature leaks, Nike will follow up last season’s kit with what appear to be some divisive design choices.
As of right now, only the home and away kits for next season have been revealed to the public, with the third strip being the glaring exception.
Nevertheless, let’s take a look at Nike’s upcoming offerings.
Inter 2023/24 Home Kit
As seen in these initial renders, Inter’s home kit is all set to incorporate some fresh ideas.
While the primary colours remain the signature blue and black stripes, their presentation will evidently be a departure from this season’s iteration.
The thick black stripes feature fades and asymmetrical elements at various parts of the kit, with the final result being a glitchy take on the classic design. The glitchy tones are also present on the back of the shirt.
Other changes include the dominant colour featured on the shoulders, as black envelopes the area entirely.
The most eye-catching aspect of the kit is undoubtedly the use of yellow for the various logos.
Inter kits have famously featured yellow applications on numerous occasions throughout their history, with an example being the iconic kits from the early 2000s.
Overall, the look is admittedly fresh, but it certainly won’t be to everybody’s liking.
Inter 2023/24 Away Kit
The glitchy tones from the home kit carry forward to the away strip, and in this case, they’re placed right at the centre.
The away kit will feature white as the predominant colour, with a black and blue stripe slicing it in half.
The stripe’s colours seem to alternate between black and blue in a stylized manner, with the club crest being placed right near the top.
Present right below the crest is a distinct design element, as an abstract or glitch-like pattern creates a distortion on the multicoloured stripe.
The final look is incredibly sharp, it offers up a sense of modernity while retaining the Nerazzurri touch required.
