The Euro 2024 is just around the corner and it is time for the teams to unveil their new kits for the tournament. Recently, Belgium’s alleged away kit for EURO 2024 got leaked and it will surely evoke a sense of nostalgia among the fans.
Footy Headlines exclusively leaked information on the Belgium 2024 away kit, and it is a unique one. Adidas and the Belgium National teams came together to pay tribute to the world-famous comic book character Tintin.
Tintin is the protagonist of the globally renowned comic series: “The Adventures of Tintin“. It was written by the Belgian cartoonist Hergé. Tintin was often portrayed donning a typical attire as he engaged in various adventurous missions with his team. This attire included a white-collared blue t-shirt, brown trousers, and white socks coupled with brown shoes.
The Belgium away kit for Euro 2024 is reportedly based on a similar colour theme. Leaked images showcased a predominantly blue kit with a white-coloured classic polo collar. The logos are in a shade of metallic silver. The kit also includes shimmering diamond pattern designs on the front. A strip of white detailing can also be seen down the side.
The shorts are reportedly brown and are paired up with a similar white strip along the side. The outfit is then complemented with white-coloured socks as well. The kit is completely inspired by Tintin’s typical outfit.
This is not the 1st time that Adidas has come up with such a unique idea. For instance, Adidas collaborated with Japan’s National team in the 2022 World Cup for a similar concept. Japan’s home kit was designed in collaboration with the illustrators of two renowned Japanese manga series -Blue Lock and Giant Killing. Now for Euro 2024, it’s Belgium’s turn.
Fans seem to cherish this new kit concept unanimously. They have taken to X.com to voice their appreciation.
The Adidas Belgium away shirt will be launched in March/April 2024. Belgium starts their Euro campaign against Slovakia on 17th June. With this new away kit, Domenico Tedesco would hope that Belgium’s Euro mission can be as adventurous and successful as Tintin’s.
