EA Sports FC 25 officially released on 27 September across all platforms after a lot of fanfare and anticipation.
But for users who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition, they were able to get an early access and start playing the game from September 20 – a week earlier itself.
As a result, it’s now been a week since the game has been opened up to the general public.
While there have been some positive reviews of EA Sports’ latest edition, an early release of most video games comes with glitches and bugs.
That is because developers sometimes forget to take care of glitches before releasing video games in a hurry, forcing them to release patches or bug fixes to take care it after the game’s release.
In the case of FC 25, it appears that the biggest glitch is that with clashing kits during (mostly) online matches.
A lot of people regularly play FC 25 because of the Division Rivals mode where they can test their quality against other real players online and climb up the Divisions to reach the Division 1, which is for the cream of the crop.
But there has already been a lot of complaints about persistent kit clashes during such Division Rival or online matches.
It appears that EA has failed to ensure to optimize their game well enough to ensure that two teams aren’t assigned similar looking kits during matches.
A lot of people opt to just quickly sort through to matches without changing their kits, which is causing these clashes to happen.
Many people have complained about how their matches have been ruined because of both set of players looking almost the same due to the kit clashes.
For those to have played a FIFA or FC game will know how annoying it can get to play against a team with a similar jersey design.
You can’t seem to properly identify your own players, resulting in frustrating misplaced passes or untimed tackles.
This basically ruins the fun on both sides, because both sets of players are confused over which individuals on the pitch are their own and the ones which is the opponent.
Some fans have even complained over the assigned referees in their FC 25 matches having the same kit as their players, resulting in even more confusion.
This is basically ruining the fun for a lot of users who had to pay a lot of money for pre-ordering this game in an attempt to enjoy the experience before it officially released on September 27.
There has been no bug fix or patch released to fix this issue yet despite a lot of complaining on social media.
At this point, the only possible solution to this for Division Rival or Online mode games is for a user to set the opposition side’s kit as their own away kit, while selecting the home kit for themselves.
This should ensure that the two teams are wearing to two different colors, ensuring a smooth experience for all parties.
Of course for a normal career mode or exhibition mode game, the player has the chance to set different attires for the two teams before kick-off too.
EA Sports is yet to release a statement on this kits issue but with FC 25 releasing worldwide on September 27 and set to have millions of players actively playing it, the developers should release a patch or fix soon.
