Manchester United‘s recent years haven’t been very good, but we’ve seen players who stood up for the team on various occasions, and one of them, without a doubt, was the Scottish Scott McTominay.
McTominay quickly established himself as one of the best players in a decaying Manchester United side and also a fan favorite, as many regarded him as a silent hero. While not a similar player, his mentality was similar to that of Michael Carrick, as he worked from the shadows. It was in his final season with the English team that he began to score more goals, a shame it was in the last one and not before.
That’s why, when the midfielder decided to end his time with the English team and sign for SSC Napoli in a deal reportedly worth £25.7 million, many Manchester United fans were both angry and sad. But as time passed, they became happier that the Scot had done so well in his new spell with the Italian team, but of course, seeing him away from Old Trafford was still painful for the vast majority of United fans as he was seen as one of the best members of the “Red Devils” in the post-Ferguson era.
In his first season with Napoli, McTominay scored 13 goals in all competitions, helping them secure another Serie A title and becoming the first Scottish player to ever win the Italian league. And that’s not all; he also ended up being named the Serie A MVP for the 2024/2025 season. His signing is considered one of the reasons why Napoli played so well this year, and he quickly became one of the best midfielders in Europe.
McTominay‘s fans have long considered him to have a rather elegant aura and to dress like some kind of model. But in the latest images posted by Napoli’s official X account, fans started talking about his hair, which looked long and unkempt, and that has been the topic that everyone has talked about in that post.

Others blame the camera angle a bit, and also the fact that the midfielder is just disheveled, which is probably the case in this situation. But without ignoring the fact that he looks funny and doesn't look like himself.
Maybe it's just a bad hair day—we've all experienced it at some point in our lives. Or maybe, in this case, McTominay really needs a haircut or a little more styling.
