The French may have done it again. France continues to be a heavy favorite for the World Cup, and why wouldn’t they be? That team is stacked with stars in every position and could very well play their third consecutive World Cup final. However, the story this time isn’t about France’s World Cup domination but rather the musical culture that surrounds their national team.
Undoubtedly, one of the most exciting parts about the FIFA World Cup is the songs that come with it. The biggest sporting event in the world often has a huge impact on pop culture. From “Waka Waka” to “Wavin’ Flags” to “We are One (Ole Ole)”, the World Cup has given countless chartbusters to fans over the years. However, surprisingly, the 2026 edition’s first single, “Lighter” has received mixed reception from the fans.
The fusion of American country music with Mexican beats has found few takers.
But as history has shown us, the official FIFA song is not always the track that turns into a unanimous fan anthem. Remember “Ramenez la coupe à la maison” in 2018?
That anthem instantly became one of the most recognizable football anthems due to its catchy beat and lyrics like “Maestro Kimpembe”.
However, while that song had an air of triumph and enjoyment of post-win spoils, this time the French have outdone themselves with a track that talks about revenge and shows the newly developed aggression within the French fanbase ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

“Imbattables” (Unbeatable) by Crystalo, a simple yet catchy Hip-Hop/Dance song, has quickly gone viral on TikTok. Released just over a month ago on 24th February, the song’s YouTube video has just over 204k views. However, with more than ten million views in various edits, it seems the entire French fanbase and neutral fans in general are singing along with the artist who wants “the third” star in France’s jersey. Interestingly, this isn’t Crystalo’s first stint with football; the artist has also released Shatta songs like the “Mbappe Song” and “Dembele Song”. Those didn’t go viral and that makes one wonder why exactly has this piece of music gone viral? Well, the formula is the same as “Ramenez la coupe à la maison” only a little more energetic and aggressive.
Just like that Vegedream song, Crystalo keeps repeating every French player’s name, with names like Ousmane Dembele, Rayan Cherki, and Michael Olise woven into the chorus. However, Kylian Mbappe isn’t far behind as he also gets attention from the artist. Crystalo demands that France bring the World Cup home with a powerful verse that says, “Two stars, we want the third. We accelerate, you brake.” This song could very well become a rallying cry for the Les Bleus in their quest for their third straight World Cup final and second win in 12 years. More than that, it is also about revenge for the surprising loss in the 2022 World Cup final.
So as it stands, FIFA may still be searching for a hit, but the French have already found their anthem, and it sounds less like music and more like a war cry.
