While club football always dominates headlines, right now the buzz is all about the build-up to the 2026 World Cup in North America.
Arsenal could win the Premier League, and there’s a host of clubs who can lift the 25/26 UCL trophy, but the major talking point remains who lifts the most prestigious trophy in football on 19 July at the MetLife Stadium in New York.
Sponsorship is a huge deal when it comes to a football World Cup, the biggest sporting event in any sport. While Qatar Airways, Visa, Coca-Cola and Lenovo remain the top-tier partners, there are also many companies involved as official sponsors and regional supporters.
One such sponsor, LEGO, left football fans bamboozled yesterday when they dropped an ad featuring Ronaldo, Messi, Vinicius and Mbappe to promote their newly released Lego Football Icons set, as part of the brand’s World Cup-themed collection.

While the ad was cheeky, many were left wondering whether all these big names were actually in the same room to shoot it.
The answer is clearly no. All of these massive egos in football were brought together with the help of expert-level video editing.
