Revealed: Mesut Ozil’s conduct from the bench during Brighton loss

Mesut Ozil’s absence has been one of the major talking points as Arsenal suffered their second defeat since the restart of the Premier League.

The German was left completely out of the matchday squad against Manchester City but made the bench in the second game against Brighton.

He spent the full 90 minutes sitting and watching helplessly as the Arsenal defence once again crumbled in typical fashion.

Ozil has always divided opinion in the footballing world and is often criticized for his ‘lazy’ style of play.

Many had begun to question his attitude and former manager Unai Emery often left him out of his team.

Things changed under Arteta though.

The former Real Madrid star was beginning to find his flair again before the break in football; and it looked as though we could witness the old Ozil again.

Hence, his lack of involvement in either games has been all the more confusing for Arsenal fans.

Despite missing the action, Ozil still has the highest professional attitude as he was seen encouraging his teammates and urging them to secure victory from the sidelines.

Arsenal fans will be hoping that a rejuvenated Ozil is involved in their next game and can change their fortune.
