The FPL app and website this season has had a major UI/UX overhaul and it is causing users lots of problems.
Many managers report being unable to log in, being automatically signed out, or the app failing to connect to servers. The login button itself sometimes doesn’t respond. A common complaint is the app’s overall design and user interface. Managers describe it as clunky, unintuitive, and difficult to navigate. Features are often not where one would expect them, and the user flow is not streamlined. Some users note that it’s much worse than the previous version, with information spread across different parts of the screen. Managers especially could not access either app or website during the GW1 fixture between Liverpool and Bournemouth yesterday. They expressed their frustrations as evidenced in these tweets.
I thought it was just the FPL website that was bad but it turns out the app is just as bad, not only is it really clunky and bad at updating, I now can’t even log in🙄

FPL servers are also not functioning well but this has been an issue for quite some time, in recent seasons any leaked news of a player not starting causes the app/website to crash due to lot of managers logging in to make changes. Despite FPL changing the deadline from 60 minutes to kickoff to 90 minutes, this problem continues to persist.
Even the website is not displaying the correct number of points. This screenshot is from my team, despite me having 21 points, it currently displays it as 0 points.
We can hope the Fantasy team is able to fix these issues and managers don’t face any hiccups as we have witnessed in previous seasons. You can use alternatives like https://www.livefpl.net/ that provide tons of other features that the main app does not provide. Keep in mind you cannot transfer or make changes to your team on this site.
