EA Sports has introduced an exciting new promotional event to FC 26 that puts the power directly in the hands of the community. Ratings Reload represents a fresh approach to Ultimate Team content, addressing one of the longest running debates in the FIFA/FC franchise that the player ratings that don’t quite match reality.
Ratings Reload is a brand new community driven promo in FC 26’s Ultimate Team mode that gives underrated players upgraded special cards based on fan feedback and voting. The concept is simple yet powerful, if the community believes a player’s base rating is unfair or doesn’t reflect their actual abilities, EA will issue corrected, upgraded versions of those players during this event there will only be upgrades and now downgrades. This marks the first time EA has formally created a promo specifically dedicated to addressing rating controversies, showing the company’s commitment to listening to player feedback about which footballers deserve better recognition in the game.
EA publishes a list of candidate players whose ratings are considered controversial or undervalued by the fanbase. The selection process involves community polls and feedback, with all voting based on EA’s official player database to ensure data driven decisions. However EA will likely only target high profile players and cards they know that will fetch high value and persuade players to purchase promo packs. Selected players receive new special cards with improved overall ratings and enhanced statistics compared to their base versions. These upgrades reflect what the community believes their fair rating should be.
Ratings Reload will release on October 10, 2025 at 18:00 UK time. The event follows a two team structure. Team 1 will release from October 10-17, 2025 and Team 2 will release from October 17-24, 2025. Each team is available for one week, giving players plenty of time to acquire the upgraded cards through packs or complete related objectives and SBCs.
As of now, only one player has been officially confirmed for Ratings Reload. Michael Olise a winger that I had discussed whose rating I had mentioned during the leaks that I felt should have been 87-88. EA seemed to have listented to us and the talented Bayern Munich winger appears in Team 1, receiving an upgraded card that better reflects his abilities. Olise has been a standout performer and was considered underrated in his base card, making him a perfect candidate for this promo. Olise’s card according to leaks should be 87 or 88 with +4 boost to his pace, +3 to his shooting, +4 to his passing, +3 to his dribbling, +10 to his defending and +12 to his physicality.

By introducing upgraded versions of previously undervalued cards, the promo helps diversify the Ultimate Team meta. Players can build squads around new options rather than relying on the same high rated cards everyone else uses such as Marmoush, Pina and Perez. While players receive boosts, don’t expect massive jumps that would break the competitive scene. Upgrades will be fair and proportional as EA still wants to maintain the power curve.
