For years, the team ratings in EA Sports’ football franchise have been a source of fierce debate, and the new ratings are sure to spark new conversations. Based on recent leaks and player performance from the 2024/2025 season, here’s a look at some of the teams expected to dominate the game.
Starting off with Real Madrid, they have the highest rated player in the game in Mbappe rated at 91, you can read more about his stats here.
Following Mbappe is Jude Bellingham who is rated 90, the cover star for this year alongside his friend Jamal Musiala. Jude keeps the same rating as last year, after Mbappe’s arrival the Englishman who thrived in a midfield diamond had to adjust to his new role. He also had to play with a shoulder injury which did not bode well for him.
The keeper rework that the EA team has done this year could make Courtois who is rated 89 become a must have this year and be just as annoying as last year to those facing him.
Vini is also rated 89 facing a downgrade from 90 after a disappointing year compared to his previous seasons.
One of the most OP cards looks to be Valverde rated 88, with his base stats all being 83+ he will be one of the members of the ‘Gullit Gang'(Term for players who have all their base/core stats 80+) from Launch Day.
Rudiger has dropped from 88 to 86, the scouse boy Trent stays at 86 same as last year.
Rodrygo a man who has seen the bench a lot last season after the arrival of Kylian Mbappe is downgraded from 86 to 85 this year, taking away the elusive Walkout status and is one to watch as with the deadline in 2 days he is slated to move to another team.
Militao at 84 rating will yet again be a solid starter pick for a defender with his stats 82 pace, 85 defending and 82 physical.
Mendy is rated 81 has been nerfed with his pace dropping from 89 to 85 this year.
Endrick will be a good player for Evolutions this year starting from a 77 rating.
They have a star studded team and they should be one of the best teams in kick off mode.

Barcelona had one of the most entertaining seasons under attacking coach Hansi Flick scoring a whopping 102 goals in La Liga last season, this as you can imagine has lead to a massive increase in ratings of attacking players and of La Masia talents that had their breakthrough last year.
Raphinha leads the line rated 89, he had a fantastic season and for a deeper dive into his stats read here. A well deserved rise from 84 last year after a great season.
Pedri an absolute treat to watch is also rated 89 an increase from 86. After injuries would hamper his growth, last season Hansi Flick was able to get the best out of the Spanish maestro.
Lamine is also rated 89, a jump up of 8 ratings from last season. After the season he had there is no doubt this is a well deserved improvement.
The Pole Lewandowski is rated 88 and keeps the same rating as last year. The man who turned 37 last week is still one of the highest rated players, a testament to his consistency and fitness to keep fighting with this young generation.
De Jong just like Lewandowski keeps the same 87 rating. Kounde looks to be one of the best defenders in the game at launch with his stats 84 pace as well as 86 defending and 84 physicality will make him a Meta player by the looks of it. Despite being a defender he also has 79 dribbling. Balde at 83 looks to be a meta player too with 91 pace, 75 passing and 80 dribbling.
Other ratings include Olmo(85), Ferran Torres(83), newboy Marcus Rashford(80) and Cubarsi(82).

For Bayern Munich, Harry Kane is somehow given a downgrade from 90 to 89 after winning his second successive Torjägerkanone with 26 league goals and winning his first major trophy. When Kane was in the starting lineup, Bayern won 22 times and drew six, with zero losses. Without him, the team’s record was three wins, one draw, and three defeats.
Kimmich is also given a 89 rating who has actually been since an increase of +3 from last season. He has been Bayern’s most consistent player.
Jamal Musiala who is on the cover is given a 88 rating. The German wonderkid has seen his rating rise by 1 but could have been much more had injuries not curtailed his season.
Michael Olise has gotten a 86 rating despite being Bayern’s player of the season many feel he should have gotten at least 87-88 and his pace being 78 is also an absurd decision.
Davies another of the meta players has gotten a 84 rating. His pace at 94 alongside 78 passing and 85 dribbling are great stats for a LB.
Other ratings include Tah(87), Upamecano(85), Luis Diaz(85) and Manuel Neuer(84).

The European Champions PSG had a roller coaster season last year from being almost knocked out of the Champions League to scoring 5 goals in the final.
Dembele has a rating of 90 after a great season, he is also the bookies favourite to win the Ballon d’Or. He was a crucial part of the team’s treble win, amassing an impressive 35 goals and 16 assists across all competitions. His performance earned him the Ligue 1 Male Player of the Year award. His shooting has seen an increase of 11 and a overall rating increase of 4.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia despite joining in the January transfer window was a key player in big matches for the Parisians. He has a rating of 87 an increase of 2. His core stats don’t look great despite the season with the saving grace being that he is set to have 5 star weak foot and 5 star skill moves.
Vitinha has a rating of 89, he was given the title of the best midfielder by lots of fans after being a pivotal player in PSG’s treble winning season and Portugal’s nation league triumph. He has received an increase of 4 on his rating from last year. His dribbling at 90 and 85 passing look great.
Hakimi at 89 is one of the highest rated defenders in the game and his stats look great with his passing being 92 and defending 80 alongside 83 dribbling. The Moroccan has seen a rise an increase in rating by 5 as compared to last year and is touted as one of the ‘Sweaty Players’.
Ratings also include Doue(85), Nuno Mendes(86), Joao Neves(85) and Barcola(84).

Another team to look at is Atletico Madrid. The Rojiblancos had a very poor season, they finished 3rd in La Liga behind Real and Barcelona, getting knocked out of the Copa Del Rey by Barcelona and a early round of 16 exit in the Champions League thanks to Real Madrid. This reflects in their ratings having only two players that are walkouts.
Jan Oblak is the highest rated at 88, he is one player that no one notices but always delivers and has a rating of 88-89 every season. The Slovenian won his sixth Zamora Trophy, a La Liga record, which is awarded to the goalkeeper with the best goals-to-game ratio. He had 36 appearances in the league with 15 clean sheets and 86 saves.
Julian Alvarez comes up with a 87 rating, Atletico’s player of the season. In his first season with the club, he scored 29 goals and provided 8 assists. This included 17 goals in 37 appearances in La Liga, 7 goals in 10 appearances in the Champions League, and 5 goals in 7 appearances in the Copa del Rey. He gets an increase of +3 from last season, a great season from La Araña.
Griezmann has seen a drop of 3 ratings to 85 this season. The Frenchman is nearing the end of his career and was one of the players to own in FC 25 due to his Finesse shots.
Other ratings include Alexander Sørloth(84), Marcos Llorente(84), Alex Baena(84) and Le Normand(83).
