FC 26 TOTW 5 Leak: Salah, Haaland, and Messi Headline Star-Studded Lineup

FC 26

The fifth Team of the Week for EA FC 26 is shaping up to be one of the most impressive weeks of the season.

With international fixtures taking center stage, this week features some of the biggest names in football across the board, with as many as eleven players potentially rated 86 and above.

Let’s break down the predicted lineup and standout performers. So for those that have kept their FUT champs TOTW rewards you are in luck. The TOTW 5 squad is expected to drop on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the usual time of 5 PM GMT.

These Inform cards will then be available in packs for one week until the next TOTW release.

Mohamed Salah (RM) continues his impressive international campaign. The Egyptian star scored two goals during Egypt’s 3-0 away win over Djibouti, earning the Man of the Match award and maintaining Egypt’s unbeaten qualifying record. His 91 rated card will jump to 92 overall, making him an elite attacking option.

Erling Haaland (ST) leads the charge with another exceptional performance. The Norwegian sensation bagged a hattrick during Norway’s 5-0 demolition of Israel, putting him in line for his second Team of the Week card.

While this may seem early in the season, his relentless form across multiple promotions already justifies the inclusion. Since this leak his previous TOTW has dropped in price by 5% dropping from 420,000 to 366,000 overnight.

Joshua Kimmich (RB) put in a commanding display at right back for Germany, scoring twice while keeping a clean sheet in their 4-0 victory over Luxembourg. The Bayern Munich versatile defender’s potential upgrade to 90 overall should make his card extremely valuable regardless of which position EA assigns.

Should he be given a CDM position as well his stats are absolutely nuts, 90 passing, 85 dribbling, 84 defending and 81 physicality.

Lionel Messi (CAM) finally gets his moment in the sun for Inter Miami, scoring twice with an assist in their 4-0 thrashing of Atlanta United.

After weeks of knocking on the door, the Argentine legend’s consistent performances have finally earned him a TOTW spot. However linking up with him will be a bit of an issue.

Rasmus Højlund (ST) has found his form away from Manchester, scoring twice and assisting another during Denmark’s commanding 6-0 away victory over Belarus as well as another goal against Greece last night.

The striker’s revival at Napoli continues, and this card upgrade will be welcomed by his growing number of supporters. He is rated just 81 and has 87 pace, making him a great option for Evos down the line.

Hakan Calhanoglu (CDM) notched two assists from a CDM position during Türkiye’s emphatic 6-1 away victory over Bulgaria, showcasing the midfield creativity available this week. However his stats are not great in game and should you pack him, he is most likely to end up as SBC fodder.

Cody Gakpo (LM) dominated for the Netherlands with two goals and an assist in their 4-0 away victory over Malta and he also netted against Finland last night. One of the more underrated cards as he always tends to perform well in FC titles and his TOTW gives his gold card some much needed boosts.

Klara Buhl (LM) earned her spot with a goal and assist as Munich defeated Wolfsburg 3-1 in a decisive Frauen Bundesliga clash after a 7-1 thrashing at the hands of Barcelona Femeni.

This TOTW marks a significant upgrade from recent weeks, with the international fixture list providing the kind of performances that elevate the quality of Squad Building Challenge rewards and packs.

Whether you’re chasing upgrades for your favorite players or looking to snag high rated cards, TOTW 5 appears to offer something for every Ultimate Team manager. The lineup demonstrates why international breaks consistently produce some of the season’s standout Team of the Week selections.
