Tottenham Hotspur vs Man United Expert Premier League Predictions and Betting Odds

Manchester United, Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur

Preview

Tottenham host Man United in what could prove to be an interesting encounter for Matchweek 11. The Lillywhites currently sit level on points with Chelsea and Man United.

Thomas Frank’s side have been consistently inconsistent this season after they recently lost 1-0 at home to local rivals Chelsea, then eventually bounced back to win 4-0 at home against Copenhagen in Matchday 4 of the UEFA Champions League.

Man United on the other hand sit with no European football this season which may as well work in their advantage as their entire squad is fully rested to face Tottenham over the weekend.

Head to Head

The Red Devils faced the North Londoners a whopping 4 times last season. Their first meeting came in the Premier League at Old Trafford where under then head coach Erik Ten Hag, the hosts lost 3-0.

Ruben Amorim’s record against Tottenham would bring similar results for Man United as they would go on to lose 3 more matches against then manager Ange Postecoglu, including the reverse fixture in the league and the Carabao Cup Quarter-Final, both matches held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium which ended 1-0 and 4-3, respectively.

The fourth and final defeat would come in Spain as Ange’s men ended all European glory hopes for Amorim as the Red Devils lost 1-0 in the Europa League Final, thanks to a goal from Brennan Johnson and a jaw dropping goal line clearance from Micky Van De Ven.

Team News

Tottenham Hotspur:

For Thomas Frank, it is more of the same as the extensive injury list carries on to define their season so far.

Dominic Solanke, Yves Bissouma, Lucas Bergvall, Dejan Kulusevski, Radu Dragusin, Kota Takai, and Ben Davies all remain out until late November due to multiple injuries. Archie Gray remains out till December due to a muscle injury.

Besides that Mohammed Kudus is the only doubt for the clash against Man United as he picked up a knock during the loss to Chelsea last weekend.

The only long term injuries for the North Londoners remains James Maddison who is suffering from a Cruciate Ligament Injury as he’s set to be out till the end of January 2026.

Probable Lineup: Vicario (GK), Porro, Romero (C), Van De Ven, Udogie, Bentancur, Sarr, Johnson, Simons, Odobert, Kolo Muani

Manchester United:

Lisandro Martinez is the only Red Devils’ player who could potentially miss this fixture as he has recovered from his Cruciate Ligament injury he suffered earlier in February. The 2022 World Cup winner’s minutes will be carefully managed in order to prevent any further injuries.

Probable Lineup: Lammens (GK), Yoro, De Ligt, Shaw, Amad, Casemiro, Fernandes (C), Dalot, Mbuemo, Cunha, Sesko

Where the match will be decided

The two masters of inconsistency face off once more. Van de Ven has been in outstanding form lately, highlighted by his sensational solo goal against Copenhagen that showcased the full range of his abilities as a centre-back.

Meanwhile, the attacking trio of Mbeumo, Cunha, and Sesko finally seem to be finding their rhythm after a spell of underwhelming performances.
