Cristiano Ronaldo probably has everything that a footballer may ever want in their career… well, everything except the World Cup trophy and a good-looking photo in his FIFA card.
While Ronaldo also has a special card with a rating of 88 with a much better image, Ronaldo fans are furious at how he looks in his traditional FIFA card.
Ronaldo is an all-time great and the most-followed footballer on social media.
He has a massive fanbase, so despite his age and overall stats, a lot of players choose to sign him on EA FC for nostalgia and player attachment alone.
For someone with the status and fanbase as huge as Ronaldo, you’d think EA would make sure he has the best face and player mechanics so they can keep his fans happy and playing their game.

However, that isn’t the case, as EA developers gave Ronaldo a less-than-acceptable face on his card and retained it for almost 2 years, much to the dismay of all the fans.
Millions of Ronaldo fans had been begging EA for months to fix Ronaldo’s face image on his FIFA card.
Ronaldo fans absolutely hated Ronaldo’s image on his 2023 FUT card, something they’ve not updated for multiple seasons. They felt Ronaldo’s face lacked aura in the image, while some even stated the face made it seem like he had too much Botox on his face.
It appears that EA has finally listened, and the developers have delivered what the fans have been asking for since 2023.
It seems like those folks are loving the change because Ronaldo’s new face card is getting a lot of positive comments, especially around how much more aura his new face has.

There are a few other players who have received updates on their cards. The most prominent ones include Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Marcos Llorente, Wijnaldum, Bergwijn, and more.
Lamine Yamal has certainly received a glow-up with his new face image, sporting his 2025 blonde hairstyle.
Marcos Llorente, while he looks great in his face image, seems to be missing his iconic tinted glasses, which have become synonymous with the Spanish midfielder-turned-defender.

Brazilian midfielder Roger Ibanez, who has grown out his hair after transferring to Saudi side Al Ahli, received a face update that makes him look like an entirely different person.
It is so different that some are even joking that the face change will also change the price tag of the card because he looks stronger and faster in his image.
The Face Update changes the price tag on this card surely… 😂😭

While most of the players have received rather positive upgrades, some are less-than-pleased with their new face images.
Among them is the current Barcelona forward Marcus Rashford. Currently on loan from Manchester United, it seems like Rashford’s photo was taken from the Nokia Classic 3310.
The blurry picture has fans doubting whether this is a Polaroid or a mugshot for Prison FC.

Even though the face image on the FUT cards is merely a cosmetic detail, we all want our favorite players to look stylish and at their dashing best.
The current leading goalscorer and assister for Barcelona deserved better than this. At least Rashford fans can find solace in knowing his fate wasn’t as bad as Sergi Roberto.
The former Barcelona star looks like he is starring in an advertisement against violence.

The current Como midfielder has had many better cards. Similar to Rashford, he’ll be hoping that EA coders release a new update and give him an improved face image on his card.
