Tottenham Star Xavi Simons Brings Back His Barcelona Era Look

Body Talk, Netherlands National Football Team, Tottenham Hotspur, Xavi Simons

Dutch International Xavi Simons is one of the most sought-after youngsters in world football at the moment.

It’s not surprising that a bidding war took place in the summer to sign the young star from RB Leipzig, with Simons eventually signing a five-year deal with Tottenham Hotspur.

Simons has not had the best of starts for Thomas Frank’s side, with 0 goals and 2 assists. Even at the International level, he has not had much luck and has scored only two goals and provided only one assist in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying campaign.

The Dutch faced Lithuania in the last round of UEFA World Cup Qualifiers and came out as comfortable winners by a 4-0 margin, thereby topping their World Cup Qualifying group and securing their place at next year’s FIFA World Cup.

Xavi Simons started the game and scored the third goal for the Dutch in the 60th minute.

However, it wasn’t only his performance that captured attention as viewers watching the game noticed a distinct change in his hairstyle. His hair down and without any braids.

It resembled the hairdo the youngster had when he was at FC Barcelona‘s famous ‘La Masia’ academy.

The young midfielder began his football career at ‘La Masia’, where he spent nine years before making a move to PSG in 2019.

Simons is usually spotted with different types of braided hairstyles. This was his look recently in a Spurs game.

So it was quite an unfamiliar sight watching Simons with his hair down.

Spurs faithful would have been impressed with this new look, and seeing the level of performance Simons showed with the new hairstyle, they wouldn’t want him to change it any time soon.
