A leaked image one of Tottenham’s kits for the 2026/27 season has sparked a strange buzz around the fans. The kit is said to be a retro replication with modern silhouette for aesthetics.
Nike signed their partnership with the club starting from the 2017 season for an estimated fee of £30 million per season. They re-negotiated their contract in 2018 and signed a 15 year contract extension running until 2033.

For the 2026/2027 season, Nike has planned a retro design combined with modern graphics that fits perfectly even for lifestyle and streetwear than just matchday kits.
The design has wide stripes of multi-colored mix with a gradient texture. Primarily cyan; the stripes are a combination of purple, orange and pink, run across different parts of the jersey.

It also has black fold-over collar and white borders. Below it, a V-shaped collar design is added for the vintage touch, majorly recognised in retro kits from the 1980s and 1990s.
A bold, graphical wordmark ,”Hotspur”, is added to the kit for more specific, lifestyle aspect emphasis of the jersey.
A leaked image of the kit had surfaced on the internet and fans have immediately expressed their disapproval, stating the subpar design.
Nike are set to release a retro #thfc shirt during the 2026/27 season. 🐓👔

A classic example of a brand that couldn’t care less about what they’re making or why they’re making it. For idiots, by idiots https://t.co/fWvAlvO5oL

Now this is the worst kit I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen bad kit designs…
@thfcchaz_
If this is gonna be something we wear to games then I believe any spurs fan who doesn’t boycott or protest isn’t a real fan of the club. This is embarrassing
