While how good the combination is a matter of individual interest, but this is not the first time Timothee side-hustled with a Liverpool star.
Timothee’s association with the Joe Gomez came to the fore with an old photo of the Hollywood actor and Liverpool defender doing the rounds online after his recent collab with Esdeekid.
Joe Gomez joined Charlton Athletic Academy at the age of 10 and went on to debut for their U-18 team at an age of just 13. His debut happened in the year 2014, before Liverpool signed him for a fee of £3.5 million in 2015.
Gomez was an integral part of the club’s silverwares in upcoming years, including the prestigious Champions League win in 2019. He also featured in their drought ending Premier League win in 2020.
A soccer player currently playing for Liverpool posing along side a Hollywood star might definitely spin heads around, but safe to say, the association happened long back before both of them reached where they are now currently.
The backstory of the unusual connection dates back to the year 2006, when Timothee Chalamet was still dreaming to become a soccer player.
He was playing for the team “Manhattan Kickers”. The New York based team, toured London for a tournament. The unusual meet happened when they faced Charlton Athletic, for whose academy Joe Gomez was playing.
