It is a tough time for the Mereyside Blues, who are reeling in the 12th position in the Premier league table. They have not been able keep up their momentum and have faltered at moments unable to capitalise their wins. They have just won one game out of their last 5 games and lost to Sunderland on penalties on Saturday evening, in the 3rd round of FA Cup.
With Iliman Ndiaye out of action due to his AFCON duties, Everton were without one of their important player. To replace him on the right, they brought in their new summer signing, Tyler Dibling.
Tyler Dibling made his move to the Merseyside, in the summer transfer window from Southampton. A right winger primarily, he was bought for a fee of £42 million.
Having not made any impact coming off the bench in several occasions, Tyler Dibling finally got a start on Saturday in their game against Sunderland.
Dibling put a dismal performance that had frustrated the Everton fans, who called him the worst player ever, under emotional influence. They compared him to another substitute, Adam Aznou, who made the most of his chance, winning a penalty for the team in limited minutes he got. The player Aznou replaced, Merlin Rohl, was another victim of the Everton fans scrutiny.
The German U-21 talent, is also a new arrival, on a season long loan from Freiburg. He was also summoned to criticism from Everton fans following a disappointing exit from the FA cup.
More harm to them was when an accidental media engagement turned viral.
A tweet by an Everton fan had him question about who among the Everton staff were responsible for scouting Dibling and Merlin Rohl. This tweet was a criticism on the players and the backroom staff of getting players who lacked quality. But surprisingly, Everton fans found the tweet reposted in the official X handle of the club.
Official account just reposted this, never change Everton. https://t.co/g2StRv3wpf

This caused a sense of unease as to whether the Everton social media admin himself supports the criticism.
However, it seems the admin had realised his mistake and had soon removed the repost. But fans were accurate enough to get proof of the incident, recording videos proving that the official account reposted it.
It’s real😭 pic.twitter.com/4WWPIXpqHP

The two youngsters are already under the bus with multiple trolls falling on them . When an incident like this happens in such a situation, it just worsens the confidence of the players. Whether or not a blunder by the Everton admin, they need to be seriously focused anymore to avoid such sensitive mishappenings.
