Liverpool manager Arne Slot, is on the task of rejuvenating the lost form from last season.

With the tag “defending champions”, Liverpool have underplayed this season, currently 4th in the table, 14 points off the league leaders Arsenal.

But the Kopites have managed to bring a glimpse of their brilliance, maintaining an unbeaten streak in their last 13 games, which came to an end with the loss to 3-2 loss to Bournemouth last night.

Before the match, Slot took some time off his duty, to serve his modelling service for his boyhood club PEC Zwolle.

PEC Zwolle are 11th in the Eredivisie with 23 points and far away from a top three finish, that might earn them a place in European competitions.

But the Zwolle fans have other reasons to celebrate.

The current season marks PEC Zwolle’s 115th club anniversary and the club had released a special Adidas kit, in celebratory notion.

To make this even more special, PEC Zwolle had planned the release of their anniversary kit with legends and former players of the club.

One of their important figures was Arne Slot.

Slot featured in their special kit of white sleeves with green stripes on shoulder top.

The official X handle of the club posted the photo on their account.

A current manager of a club, announcing the kit of another team has never been seen before, but the reasoning gained strong support from everybody.

Arne Slot started his footballing career at PEC Zwolle.

From the youth setup to their first team, slot represented them for 253 games, scoring 74 goals.

He ended his career in 2013, right where he started and became an icon of the club forever.

The club also brought in two other former players, Jaap Stam and Tijjani Reijnders.

Jaap Stam had started his career at Zwolle, playing 35 games for the Dutch club.

Current Man City midfielder Reijnders played for the U-21 and first teams of the club before moving to AZ Alkmaar.

PEC Zwolle’s new initiative of bringing former players to release special kits is warm and welcoming.

No matter their current position, players and managers turning up for their boyhood club resonates the inner child and the passion they had for the club.

As long as it is not for the rivals and a fellow competitor, nobody is going to complain.
