Look – Florian Wirtz Turns Heads At Germany Camp With His Veiny Arms

Body Talk, Florian Wirtz, Football Fashion, Germany National Football Team, Liverpool

Florian Wirtz has long been viewed as one of Germany’s brightest footballing jewels.

After breaking through at Bayer Leverkusen as a teenager, the attacking midfielder quickly became the kind of player supporters build dreams around: elegant on the ball, fearless in tight spaces and capable of unlocking matches with one pass.

Under Xabi Alonso, Wirtz was not just a promising youngster; he became the superstar of a historic team.

Leverkusen’s unbeaten domestic double in 2023-24 turned him into one of the most sought-after players in Europe, and Liverpool eventually paid a massive fee to bring him to Anfield.

The deal, worth up to £116.5 million, was a club-record move and one of the biggest transfers in British football history.

But life in England has not been simple.

Wirtz’s first season at Liverpool has been mixed, with the German struggling at times to produce the same effortless dominance he showed in the Bundesliga.

The Premier League has offered him a different challenge: less space, more contact and a far more frantic rhythm.

In Germany, Wirtz often had room to receive, turn and dictate. In England, opponents have closed him down quicker, pressed harder and forced him to adapt physically as well as technically.

Yet there have also been signs that Wirtz is learning to deal with the Premier League’s physicality better.

Even when the output has not always matched the hype, he has looked more willing to absorb contact, protect the ball and compete in tighter areas.

Germany has clearly not lost faith in their player. Regardless of the debate around his Liverpool form, Wirtz remains one of the country’s most gifted attacking players and is expected to play an important role at the World Cup.

For Julian Nagelsmann, his creativity, movement and ability to unlock tight defences are still valuable weapons.

But it was his arrival at the Germany camp being held at the DFB Campus in Frankfurt that really set social media alight.

Supporters noticed the veins on his arms pop out visibly, and the photo quickly spread among fans who pointed to his more powerful appearance.

Fans quickly focused on Wirtz’s exposed arms, with the sleeveless outfit making his defined, vascular look stand out.

While most were in awe of his physique, they also mentioned how confident he looked, making fans believe he is going to have a great World Cup.

For the unknowing, veiny arms occur when superficial veins sit just beneath the skin. They are typically a result of a low body fat percentage, high muscle mass, and increased blood flow from exercise.

Whether deliberate or simply the result of a demanding first year in England, Wirtz’s stronger look naturally fed into the wider discussion around his Premier League adjustment.

For a player used to relying on timing, intelligence and technical quality, adding more physical resilience could be key to making the next step at Liverpool.

The outfit Wirtz wore for the occasion also drew attention on Instagram, where Liverpool teammate Hugo Ekitike commented on Wirtz’s fashion.

Wirtz was seen wearing the adidas Originals x Willy Chavarria black reversible nylon sleeveless jacket, a designer collaboration listed by retailers at around £205, €219.90 or $272, depending on the market.

He wore it over a black tank-style base layer, pairing it with blue jeans, a beige patch cap, slim rectangular tinted sunglasses and a large gold-toned watch.

The watch appeared to be a yellow-gold Rolex Daytona-style piece, with current 18k yellow-gold Daytona models listed by Rolex at $52,600.

While his outfit and physique capture the internet’s attention, Wirtz’s real statement still has to come on the pitch.

Germany knows the talent they have; Liverpool is still waiting for the full version of the player they paid so heavily for, and the World Cup now gives him the perfect stage to shift the conversation.

His arrival may have gone viral because of his look, but Wirtz will want the tournament to be remembered for what he does with the ball.
