Ex Chelsea Boss Graham Potter Pairs Cowboy Hat With Suit For World Cup Shoot

2026 FIFA World Cup, Chelsea, Graham Potter, Sweden National Football Team, West Ham United

With Graham Potter returning to his coaching duties for the upcoming World Cup in the USA and stars like PL winner Viktor Gyokeres, Liverpool attacker Alexander Isak and captain Viktor Lindelof in his arsenal, Sweden fans will hope for a deeper run in this edition of football’s biggest tournament.

While the Swedish home kit from Adidas has a loud yellow look which is bound to outshine their opponents on the pitch, their coach had a different way of expressing his drip.

During one of their training sessions at F.C Dallas’s stadium, which the Swedish team is using for their training session, coach Graham Potter entered the stadium in a bold cowboy hat, making him look like a true American.

Wearing a white training top, blue shorts and a cowboy hat, Graham entered the pitch with his World Cup and American spirits high.

Being fair to Potter, his coaching career has not been a smooth sail at all. Gaining spotlight when joining Swansea City from 2018-19, he was tasked with rebuilding a heavily depleted squad and the team was relegated. He lifted them to a very respectable position and led the team to a respectable 10th-place finish and an FA Cup quarter-final in his single season in Wales.

Similarly, in Brighton, he transitioned to the Premier League and radically transformed Brighton’s identity from a defensive-minded team into one of the most fluid, attacking sides in the league. He also secured a record-high 9th-place finish and the club’s highest-ever Premier League points total during the 2021–22 season. But then things took a turn in his stint at Chelsea and West Ham.

Despite reaching the quarter-finals in the Champions League with the Blues, he struggled to find domestic victories, having only 12 wins in 31 matches. Similarly, in West Ham, having only 6 wins in 25 games.

On numerous occasions, Potter made the supporters lose faith in him, such as his loss to Manchester United with Chelsea, 4-0, in the FA Cup 3rd round in January 2023, with fans chanting “sacked in the morning”.

His time took a turn for the worst in West Ham when his squad lost faith in him, and the loss against former club Chelsea with a score of 1-5 in August 2025 was the final nail in the coffin for Potter.

Overall, he had a rough time at West Ham and was soon appointed Sweden’s manager.

On the international stage, Potter successfully guided Sweden through the high-pressure European playoffs, securing decisive, must-win victories against Ukraine and Poland.

Potter looks way more relaxed and confident being Sweden’s coach despite his failure at Premier League clubs, and his recent actions with the hat show him as calm and composed.

Cowboys and their attire are a big part of Texas culture, and we can see people wearing them in festivals and on occasions.

Fans’ reactions took his get-up higher by a notch.

Not only entering the pitch with it, but his hat made its way to the official photoshoot as well.

With a dark blue suit, Graham’s hat sat atop his head while the snaps for Sweden.

Fans compared the photoshoot to his lifestyle at Chelsea.

Whether his aura stays high or not, fans can only wait for Potter to show his magic at the World Cup.
