One of the most iconic managers of the modern game, Jurgen Klopp, has been regularly spotted during the 2026 World Cup, working as a pundit and presenter for Magenta TV along with Thomas Muller.
It was while reporting for the German-based broadcasting channel that he met Tuchel at the end of the England game.
Tuchel’s World Cup 2026 campaign as the England manager started brilliantly, with his team convincingly winning 4-2 against Croatia. England dominated the game in every aspect, with Harry Kane scoring a brace, before Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford put the game to an end. Despite equalizing twice, via Martin Baturina and Petar Musa’s goals, Croatia could not keep up with the English pressing in the 2nd half.
Back to the reunion post-match, both Klopp and Tuchel were once coaching in the Bundesliga at the same time, with Tuchel in charge of Mainz 05 while Klopp was leading Borussia Dortmund at the time.
Klopp has always been a supporter of Tuchel, especially from the moment the latter was appointed England coach, and fans absolutely loved this reunion between the two.
Tuchel x Klopp. Full time. England win.

This is not the only reunion Jurgen Klopp had during yesterday’s match, though, as he also met Liverpool icon Jordan Henderson before the game. Henderson was already a Liverpool player when Klopp took over the managerial role at Anfield in 2015, and was also the captain of the side.
Henderson was a vital on-pitch heartbeat of Klopp’s Liverpool, serving as the ultimate standard-setter. As captain, he bridged the gap between the coaching staff and the dressing room, driving the relentless pressing identity.
The 36 year old midfielder is in the England squad, and was on the bench in last night’s game, Klopp got a chance to meet him and the two were photographed together.

Earlier, on the 16th, Klopp was spotted meeting another ex-captain from his Liverpool squad, Virgil Van Dijk, on the streets of Dallas. Liverpool fans were swept away by this heartwarming reunion, and some even called for Klopp to be brought back to Merseyside.
The Dutch defender was extremely important player for Klopp as he provided the crucial defensive steel and leadership needed to conquer the Premier League and UEFA Champions League titles.

Safe to say, Jurgen Klopp is an extremely well-liked figure in the world of football. And something tells us the ongoing World Cup will likely throw us a few more Klopp reunions, probably featuring former and current Liverpool players like Alisson, Andy Robertson, Mohamed Salah and Alexis Mac Allister.
