In what could have been easy group stage games for countries playing against Cape Verde, the team took the tournament serious both physically and mentally, especially the wall of Cape Verde, Vozinha.
In what fans are calling an absolute player-of-the-tournament performance by Vozinha, he went on to save 7 shots by Spain, shocking the entire footballing community.
Vozinha exploded as an overnight sensation, going from a mere 50,000 followers on Instagram to a staggering 29 million, being the highest followed goalkeeper in the world, crossing the likes of Iker Casillas and Manuel Neuer.

Vozinha felt extremely welcomed at the CBS Show. He mentioned how people wouldn’t where Cape Verde is in the world to almost everyone being aware of it’s existence. He added how the culture of Cape Verde has always been that of welcoming people and how connecting it was but due to his behemoth performance at the World Cup, he would have a hard time stepping on the streets without a crowd gathering around him, which he is extremely grateful for.
Vozinha mentions how it has been his childhood dream to be a professional footballer but it is extremely tough from someone hailing from Cape Verde making it big in the footballing world due to poor facilities and despite having hardworking players and coaches in their roster, their limited knowledge and experience is what kept them from going ahead in the path of football and how tough it is to access other countries due to facing Visa issues throughout the process.
Vozinha goes on to add how he wants to add a few more years into his footballing career despite being 40 and how much his body and reflexes allow him to get perform on the field.
He mentions how he wants to play for a club for his talent and not just as a marketing tactic to gain traction for the club.
Vozinha also added in a hilarious moment on how he is single and is not married yet despite his age.
